54 in concord and 50 at our coast. that is where we've had problems with dense fog that will be with us for next couple of hours. sunny skies by midday. by noontime, low 50s at the coast. low 60s inland and by afternoon, 62 at ocean beach and 92 in livermore today. much cooler tomorrow for mother's day. >> terry: this morning san francisco police are investigating two fatal shootings from two separate crime scenes. first occurred about 9:30 last night and a man and a woman shot in the western addition at turk and laguna streets. the woman is expected to survive. the 54-year-old man died at a hospital. the victim was disabled and walked with a cane when he suffered a gunshot wound to the neck. the secretary shooting in ocean view district in san francisco in 7:30 in front of a family

resource center. the man was in his early 20's. he was chased down by several men. >> there is a new focus on the world a es oldest profession. they had a marched against prostitution from 2nd up to 23rd avenue. they say it's unsafe for children. nick smith has more. >> reporter: this is what has the residents of san antonio and east lake neighborhood so upset. working girls. they salesman between 2nd and 23rd avenues and among oakland's and busiest location for illegal sex activity and robberies. that is why the community hopes this rally. they are calling for a comprehensive strategy to address the sex tra trade. >> barbara tucker is the oakland city attorney. she is spearheading the move as

identifying it as a haven for pimps and prostitutes shut down. this she sued the national lodge and national inn. >> we're trying to get the court to shut these businesses down for a year so they can change their business model. >> reporter: there has been some progress. more than 20 security cameras were installed along international boulevard a few aimed in the direction of the national lodge. >> the marcher went through the neighborhood and organizers vowed to return until they are satisfied that the businesses are pushed out. >> and there are additional signs of progress. the oakland school district has trained hundred staff members when students may be at risk for

sexual exploitation. >> occupy protestors in albany have two hours or face eviction. they have been on the land about three weeks. u.c. is offering to drop all charges and give the occupiers two seat on a special committee but that is on only if they leave by 10:00 this morning and occupiers say think wouldn't leave voluntarily. about a dozen protestors cited at the admissions office. most were minority students and they say they were unfairly denied admission. 12 protestors were cited for trespassing and released. >> they are asking the public to send them evidence that have violently confronted police during protests. the city has filed lawsuits

against three individuals. >> "abc 7 news" broke exclusively to the san francisco woman who lost her husband and two of her sons to a reputed member of the notorious mf-13 gang. they were shot to death four years ago while driving home from a family picnic. edwin ramos was convicted thursday. t bologna had been married to his wife for 22 years. danielle found out about the murders from a police officer. >> he said, danielle, tony and michael are dead. i was like this can't be happening. i thought why me? what did i do to deserve this? >> we protected her adented because she and her two surviving children are in the federal witness protection

program because they are afraid of gang retaliation. we posted the video under see it on tv. >> right now volunteer searchers are out looking for any sign of missing teenager sierra lamar missing since mid-march. also this morning, they are sifting through tips from all over the country generated by last night's episode of america's most wanted. >> reporter: this is a mother's day message she wrote for her two daughters but especially her 15-year-old sierra. >> i'm reaching out to sierra letting her know that i love her so much as a mother. definitely she is a joy of my life. i do refer to her as my miracle baby. >> reporter: she also wrote this tloy keep sierra in people's minds. >> i'm still not giving up.

hill. >> terry: from indonesia this morning, word that search crews have remains of 54 people when a russian plane crashed. peter adler was on the jet when it went down on wednesday. search and rescue helicopters have been hampered by foggy weather. they are looking for the black voice box and data recorders that could explain what happened. >> reaction of jennifer hudson after a jury convicts her former brother-in-law of killing three members of her family. a bay area barber shops, they are offering a chance at a healthier life. we'll explain in a couple of minutes.

jennifer hudson is thanking prosecutors of conviction of a person that killed flee members of her family. jurors took three days to could convict him of murder. former gang member was jealous of estranged wife seeing another man. hudson was emotional but

city. hayward and mountain view. check livermore. couple degrees warmer. that will be the trend for the valleys as we have the dense fog at the coast and warmer weather inland. we're talking 5-7 degrees warmer today than yesterday. that will be pop us out from 10-15 degrees above average. tomorrow we're going in the other direction with a cooler day. a sea breeze for mother's day. in fact i'm going to call it much cooler. coolest day of the week following on monday. so if you like it warmer today, today is the day and inland valleys. we do have high pressure to build in to the north 6 us. that is setup to give us the northerly offshore flow. but we have low pressure right around the bay. that is allowing for the fog to continue to slide up along the coast. quite foggy from santa cruz to watsonville and monterey this morning. it will thin out. we'll look for the nice summertime spread, 95 in fresno it was 73 in los angeles.

watch out for the dense fog if you are spending any time here at the coast but it will be confined to the immediate shoreline. 84 in yosemite and 70 in northern sierra. back home, what a nice day in oakland at 76 today. 72 in richmond. average high should be in the mid 70s but look at san jose, 88 degrees. so most of santa clara valley enjoying sunshine and pretty warm day. peninsula quite comfortable, 79. san mateo with upper 70s, over the hills is where we have the heat. one day event we'll look for much cooler temperatures tomorrow and at our coast. it will be kind of foggy from time to time. mid-60s for santa cruz. right now you are at 50. 57 in monterey. low to mid 80s for hollister and gilroy. we're looking at a nice afternoon today. warmest day out of the next 7, pretty big cooldown tomorrow and

you know, i just applied a lot of hard work. we tried to put that issue aside and to be so well prepared for every assignment i was given. starting a firm that is a great path for women. you are the boss so there is no coming up the ranks. in venture capital it's interesting because it is a very competitive industry. only 11% of venture capitalists are women. it's very small percentage.

what helped me is because we were so specialized. it really leveled the playing field given my expertise. >> i know it's called clearly you are a trailblazer. it's the first time there has been a panel the on venture capital. here we sit in the heart of innovation of the world. what funds it is venture capital. >> is what interesting in and why i think women are particularly well suited for venture capital. we all think it's about technology but in fact if you ask any venture expect a lift what is the key to success, it's all about management. it's all about the people that you are backing. i think women are particularly good at judging people. that is the key to success in venture capital. my advice would be, don't be intimidated and follow the area

antarctica where the only civilization belongs to the been begins. >> the trip was worth the long haul but nancy told delta she wanted a refund for the leg room she didn't get. >> they kept going around in circles and very sorry about this. we can't do anything about it. we'll give you a voucher. >> delta would not refund her money, offering her sky miles or one year voucher toward a future flight. nancy wanted her money back. >> that. >> i got in touch with michael finney because i felt they owed me what i paid for. >> reporter: we contacted delta and within ten days, they sent this e-mail, the concern you shared with kgo tv have been sent to my attention. there may have been something we overlooked. they will refund the $120. airline tells us delta regrets this situation occurred and worked directly with the

taller overnight. it's helping the onshore breezes here in the city. it's sunny behind us but depending on where you are this morning, you will get some fog, fog hanging out at the coast by later on this afternoon. anywhere from 800 to 900 feet. we'll look for golden gate park on the gray side but later on today, it should be a lot like yesterday. upper 60s and much more warming south and east. 51 in oakland, 55 in fremont. 58 in mountain view. 50 in half moon bay. overall it is feeling a little bit cooler this morning. we are looking at visibility improving already to nearly 40 miles at half moon bay. we were down to quarter of a mile earlier and napa had low visibility. cool start except for livermore. warm finish once again and fog staying right at the coast.

dense marine layer becomes compresswood a breezier weather on the way tomorrow for mother's day. so we do have high pressure to the north. working in our favor to warm us up. low pressure sending those low clouds up from the south. we've got gray start in santa cruz, watsonville and monterey. that fog really not going anywhere. it's going to deepen again overnight tonight. another 500 feet or so and it's going to make its way further across the bay. that is going to aid in our cooling for the second half of our weekend, mother's day. you felt the breeze yesterday and not a lot of change. we're keeping it warm. we expect it to be warm in our valleys with 90s from fresno to sacramento. winds are kind of light so not bad out there if you want to head out to the coast. three to four-foot waves.

68 downtown. anywhere in 4-15 degrees what they should be 76 in oakland and richmond coming in at 72. 80 for santa rosa and napa. upper 80s to near 90 for much of the santa clara valley. we'll look for low todd 90s returning from livermore and concord today with the coast in the low 60s. stinson beach, point reyes, pretty foggy and santa cruz, partly cloudy skies and 76. warmer weather from morgan hill to gilroy. seven-day forecast, warmest day of the week today with 90s returning and warmest locations so the above normal readings switch quickly tomorrow to below normal. we'll look for further cooling on monday. tuesday and wednesday looking at another bump up in the temperatures then more cooling thursday and friday but no rain out of seven days.
