closed captioning by closed captioning services,inc investigators in castro valley are trying to unravel a murder mystery. they found the body of a young man in a home on omega avenue last night. >> reporter: police did not expect to find a body. they were very surprised. the details are unusual. some neighbors say they don't think it adds up. they would like to hear more. deputies decided to do a probation check at this home last night, after they

received calls of criminal activity in this castro valley neighborhood. they couldn't believe what they found inside. >> when they entered the house there was a can't amount of -- a significant amount of blood. at that time they froze the house and later discovered the body. >> reporter: the spokesman isn't sure if anyone else was home or if deputies barged in when no one answered the door. they checked other parolees in the neighborhood as well. they did not specifically target this home. >> very unusual, yes we do probation searches frequently not often you find a bloody scene and then a body to go along with that >> reporter: investigators say they don't know the cause of death or the identity of the victim. they don't think the deceased is the person on probation who they were checking on. >> this case, we don't believe he was there. >> that's crazy.

why would you just pinpoint that house exactly? they've been -- [ inaudible ] you have kids, you want to know what is going on. >> reporter: neighbors say a woman and her two adult children live in the home. one neighbor spoke with the adult daughter and the ex-husband of the homeowner last night. >> they don't know who it is. they won't tell 'em anything. >> reporter: some who live here find the murder mystery in the middle of their block unnerving. >> i'm shocked. nervous. >> reporter: the coroner is doing an investigation to figure out how this man died and who he is. no arrests have been may. amy hollyfield, abc7 news. -- traffic is moving again slowly on the bay bridge this car fire caused back ups. firefighters put it quickly, nobody was hurt. you just saw president obama on the view the same day that a new poll finds mitt romney has a slight lead in women voters for the first time. katie marzullo joins us with more. >> reporter: good morning. president obama for his part, his camp is questioning the results of the poll saying the sample was biased. that being said, numbers show he might be losing favor among women and his support of same-sex marriage isn't helping. mostly women watch "the view" and president obama knows how to appeal to an audience. >> i like hanging out with women. >> reporter: women may be cooling a bit on the president. new poll showed likely mitt romney has a two point lead among female voters compared to april when the president led 49-43%. on the view, he considered announcing his new support of

same-sex marriage on the show. instead he told robin roberts last week. the president said he felt compelled to take his stan because it is the right thing to do. the polls show most americans are skeptical. 67% of those surveyed believe the president's support was politically motivated. 57% say it will have no affect on their vote. 26% say they are less likely to vote pore president obama 17% say they -- for president obama only 17% say they are more likely. >> the president: what going to determine the election is the economy. >> reporter: his challenger agrees. romney is on the trail in iowa today saying president obama's reckless spending has fanned a prairie fire of debt. he did address the topic of same-sex marriage over the weekend at virginia's liberty university. >> marriage is a relationship between one man and one woman.

>> reporter: also according to the poll, mitt romney is leading president obama 46-43% among all voters. that is well within the poll's 4% margin of error. the ceo of jpmorgan chase survived a shareholder push today to re him. share holders voted to allow jamie dimon to keep his post, five days after he disclosed a two billion dollar trading loss. they endorsed his pay package of 23 million dollars. most of the ballots were cast before he revealed the loss. he told share holders the company's mistakes were self-inflicted and he takes responsibility. treasury secretary geithner says the loss strengthens the case for tougher rules on financial institutions. >> the fed and the sec and other regulators will be part of this process will take a careful look at this incident and make sure we review the

implications of what that means for the remaining rules. >> president obama supports that review. calls dimon one of the smartest bankers there is. he described jpmorgan chase as one of the best managed banks there is. mark zuckerberg will ring the nasdaq bell from menlo park friday the day it goes public. the site is increasing in stock price to between $34 and $38 up from the original estimate of $28 and $35. friday is the most highly anticipated offering in years and will value facebook at 100 billion dollars. a new poll says half of americans think facebook is a passing fad. happening right now in sacramento governor brown's revised budget plan is at a hearing before the senate committee the governor says state is facing a deficit of almost 16 billion dollars.

he's calling for cuts including 5% for state employees. schools could get a 16% butte in spending. democrats -- boost in spending. democrats are not happy with the cuts republicans don't like the proposed tax increases. two hours from now sheriff ross mirkarimi will be back in court over a key piece of evidence in the ethics investigation. at issue, whether video of mirkarimi's wife can be used in an administrative hearing on misconduct charges against the sheriff. the video tan by a neighbor shows lopez talk -- taken by a neighbor shows lopez talking and showing a bruise on her arm. the city wants to use that to remove mirkarimi from his position. richmond city council could tax sodas and other drinks. set to vote tonight that would let voters decide on a one cent per ounce tax on sweet

line. that was a photo-op. they stand there, photographers from all over the bay area, state, country and world come out and get pictures of this race, it is that big that exciting a deal. it is truly america's greatest bicycle race. they are some of the greatest cyclists in the world here to race in what some call america's tour de france the amgen tour of california. >> you have tour de france as far as competing the course is that difficult big preparation for that televised worldwide i've had people commenting from france and japan they were watching me on tv the other stay. >> reporter: this -- the other day. livermore is our finish city we have a pass through of livermore early in the day then we come back to sprint it out at the finish.

>> reporter: about a mile up the road, there was a related bike race the king of the mountain charity cycling challenge. she wants to be queen of the mountain. >> it is a great way to come and did something for themselves that challenges themselves and watch the race and watch all of their heroes and everyone they root for on television ride by. >> we give away all our profits to an anti-obesity program in 250 q-8 schools here in silicon valley. -- >> reporter: we are back out here live at the berryessa community center. the racers there the photographers who had their photo-ops have been moved off the course we are maybe 25 seconds or so from the start of america areas version of the tour de france, it is -- nothing less every rider knows it. a lot of pressure on these riders, on these teams.
