good morning. we start our week with us at 5:01 a.m. i'm eric thomas. and i'm kristen sze. wall street attention will be on facebook again on this first full day of trading. investors are watching direction of the shares. nasdaq officials are apologizing for friday's ipo glitch. amy hollyfield is live at facebook's menlo park headquarters. >> reporter: many are saying this will be a crucial week for facebook and its stock with many watching and getting a sense of how strong this stock is. investors expected to see a pop in the price friday that didn't happen. it just closed just about .6% off -- above the ipo price. nasdaq apologized embarrassed at the delay of the opening trade.

but -- [ unintelligible ] there's also concern that when morgan stanley stops supporting the stock then it really could have some problems. other social media stocks will be pulling for facebook like linkedin, groupon and others fell 5% friday not only pays book will be hoping for a good day today. again, crucial week coming here for facebook. amy hollyfield, abc7 news. the coast guard this morning is trying to figure out who dumbed four tons of marijuana off the southern california coast. a tip yesterday led them to 160 bales of pot floating 13 miles off dana point. a coast guard says it is unusual for drug boats to dump bales of pot into the ocean

two dui counts arrested 2 a.m. march 27th. he failed a sobriety test. it appears he was driving a state-owned vehicle out of his allowed area without permission. top executives of apple and samsung will meet in san francisco this morning in hopes of hammering out a dale before their lawsuit goes court. a judge ordered apple's tim cook and samsung to show up at the federal bidding in san francisco for talks aimed at reaching an out of court settlement. cupertino-based apple is suing samsung for violating iphone patents by creating similar features for android phones. if no deal is reached the trial will begin the end of july. this morning the jury deciding the fay of john edwards begins -- the fate of john edwards begins second day of deliberations. he is accused of masterminding a scheme to use nearly one

million dollars in secret payments from two wealth any donors to help hide his pregnant mistress as he sought the white house in 2008. defense attorney argue that the cover-up was by the finance chairman. this morning a judge will sentence the 20-year-old former rutgers student convicted of a hate crime following his roommate's suicide. he faces up to 10 years in prison and could be deported to his native india. in 2010 his roommate tyler clemente committed suicide after a ly recorded video was posted -- surprisingly many gay rights advocates are arguing against a harsh sentence. they say his actions were wrong but shouldn't be used as the measuring tick for new jersey's new anti-bullying law. high school in joplin, missouri will cap a senior year marked by tragedy --

imf chief, dominique strauss-khan, the incident allegedly happened in december of 2010. pros -- prosecutors in northern france looking into allegations that he may have been involved in a rape during a sex party in the hotel while chief of the international monetary fund. prosecutors state investigation is part of a prostitution probe involving strauss-khan. last year he was cleared of rape claims made by a new york city hotel maid. backers of mitt romney slowly coming to his side he raised more than 40 million dollars last month as he solidified his chances of being the nominee. a new review finds only a handful of his recent contributions came from donors of former primary challengers. only 500 contributed to romney's white house run.

good monday morning. 5:30 a.m. thank you for joining us i'm eric thomas. and i'm kristen sze. warriors' officials not denying reports that the team is ready to move across the bay to san francisco. katie marzullo joins us live with the latest. >> reporter: another piece of the puzzle but cryptic. we are going off espn quoting a source who says the warriors are close to a deal to move to san francisco that source also says the team wants to move and is committed to making it happen. that's all from a source who is talking to espn. as far as word from the team we have a statement from one

of the owners sunday who said only we are not prepared to make any announcements, at this time. that's why some are reading into that as a nondenial, if you will, of the move. we were able to talk with fans this morning who say they would definitely be disappointed if the team moved. >> they've been an oakland team and we've been having them over 30 years and they bring inspiration to the bay area. stay home warriors. >> there are a lot of fans here from way back. for them to leave would be really sad. >> reporter: it was about a week ago that san francisco mayor ed lee drafted and sent a letter saying that san francisco wanted the team to move that they would work with the team to make that happen. the city supervisors all seemed to be onboard they signed that letter and are promising to build a giant arena on the waterfront as the new home for the warriors.
