home. katie marzullo joins us live outside the arena. you have a new statement from the owners? >> reporter: well, the statement is interesting. it doesn't really confirm nor deny what is being said. espn got this ball rolling, because it is citing a source "source" saying the team is finalizing a deal to move from oakland to san francisco that source saying that the team wants to move and is committed to doing so. the official word from the team comes from owner who issued a statement sunday it says "we are not prepared to make any announcements at this time." that's fueling the speculation because he doesn't say it is not true he just says they are not ready to make any announcements. not a denial there. a lot of fans hoping it would be a denial. they say they would be disappointed if the team left oakland.

facebook.com/abc7news. katie marzullo, abc7 news. 6:33 now. protesters in oakland could be banned from carrying tools of violence in marches and demonstrations. oakland's public safety committee takes up a proposal by the city attorney tomorrow during a special meeting without mentioning occupy oakland by name the proposal refers to tools of violence used in recent incidents. it would be a misdemeanor with a $1,000 fine and six months in jail if demonstrators are caught carrying anything on a list of banned items, including: hammers, metal shields and rocks. funeral services planned this morning for a bay area soldier killed in afghanistan. 30-year-old staff sergeant thomas fogerty of alameda was killed near kabul may 6th. his wife and two sons were joined friday by a group of veterans at the airport for the arrival his casket. services will be held at kaufman auditorium at 11 this morning.
