and i'm kristen sze -- breaking news story manhunt shots fired suspect clinging to life and officer injured this morning vallejo police investigating second shooting involving an officer since last week. amy hollyfield is live at the scene at wilson anfar gut avenues. >> reporter: -- wilson and farragut avenues. >> reporter: they have their forensic lab, officers are still gathering evidence this is in the parking lot of an apartment complex in vallejo. police are not believing us on what happened. what we have is a witness account and he says it started at about 11:30 last night, police were chasing someone who was suspected of stealing a car. then the officers eventually ended up shooting him. we are waiting for police to confirm these detail. then in an odd twist the k-9 officer bit one of the officers. the dog did. witnesses say that officer was

taken to the hospital. this all happened at an apartment complex on wilson avenue and farragut avenue in vallejo. we hope to get a briefing this morning. they say around daybreak this is the second officer-involved shooting in less than a week here in vallejo. friday an officer shot and killed a man who they say pointed a gun at them. it turnsed out the man had a pellet -- it turned out the man had a pellet gun. amy hollyfield, abc7 news. 5:02. this morning san jose police still searching for suspects in the murder of a teenager on the 1600 block of virginia avenue before midnight saturday. officers found a 16-year-old boy dead and he's from san jose. a second victim a 23-year-old was taken to the hospital police believe the kill something gang related. the city's 16th homicide of the year. oakland police looking for the killer of a man found shot in the 700 block of market before

6:00 sunday morning he died at the hospital. police are not releasing information about the man or possible motive. investigators in san francisco are still trying to determine how a fire started inside a house in the sunset district this weekend. you can see firefighters working on the roof of the home last night. crews quickly put that fire out. officials are still looking for a cause. the address is 38th and irving. nobody was hurt >> former united nations secretary general kofi annan is in syria for talks with the country's president. hayes rifle follows the deaths of 90 civilians friday including 30 -- children. syrian activists are blaming the death on president assad's forces they accuse the president of continuing to use artillery, tanks and machine guns against his people. >> u.s. and allied forces completed major military

farragut in vallejo. this is the second officer involved shooting in less than a week friday vallejo police shot and killed a man who they say pointed a gun at them. the man had hey pellet again. amy hollyfield, news that -- abc7 news. 5:32. memorial day services will get underway around the bay area in a few hours to honor the nation's military men and women at the san francisco presidio there will be a parade starting at 10:30 this morning from the parade grounds to the national cemetery. boy scouts and other volunteer groups were busy all weekend placing flags on each grave at the two national cemeteries there are more than 116,000 graves in san bruno plus another 30,000 at the presidio. president obama will be paying tribute to fallen soldiers on this memorial day beginning with a breakfast at the white house with families who have lost loved ones.

a more uplifting topic. we are talking about the thousands who were treated to that spectacular fireworks show last night in honor of the 75th anniversary of the golden gate bridge. >> i could watch it over and over again. lilian kim shows it was a spectacular pyrotechnic show in the san francisco bay unlike any other. >> reporter: the golden gate bridge celebrated her 75th birthday in spectacular fashion only the second time fireworks were set off the bridge. it was the first time they were accompanied by a light show. people who lined up hours ahead of time to get a good view were in awe. >> best i've seen in years, ever it was gorgeous. ♪ >> reporter: the 75th anniversary celebration began hours earlier, live music and exhibits were set up from the marina green to crissy field. pedro and his wife moved to is. from -- moved to san francisco from spain three years ago and

lilian kim, abc7 news. some retraced the steps they took when they walked across the golden gate bridge opening day 75 years ago. betty strolled along the east sidewalk yesterday, as she did as a 9-year-old in 1937. three generations of the family joined hands as they walked. john remembers the day it opened. >> i remember the cars going through. they were all antique cars there was a show at the beginning and everything else is the same i was with my father and i was a young kid like this guy. >> fabulous, one of the milestones in san francisco native history we are able to go with my dad now my two kids and be able to experience this. >> this woman diana webb even brought the 25 cent ticket right there that allowed her to walk on the bridge 75 years ago. she was just 7-years-old then.
