historian and real estate developer. higens was killed on a walk near his second home in merced. detectives say there are signs of trauma but they have to wait for autopsy results to determine how he died. they say now, they have no suspects. >> there is a 6-year-old boy left paralyzed and comatose from a drunk driving crash died. he died friday in oakland. the boy had been clinging to life since the may 18th crash in berkeley. the boy's mother died at the scene. she was on track to graduate from uc berkeley. her boyfriend was critically injured. police say his blood alcohol level was more than twice the legal limit when he crashed into a tree. >> a former san francisco school employee pleaded not guilty to raping three women last year. and he is charged with 24 felony counts.

police say he attacked his victims from behind, then punched and violently beat them. he was spotted on surveillance video and arrested. investigators say they found his dna at the crime scenes. his trial is expected to begin in september. >> the city of camp bales building inspector is looking into a problem abc 7 news reported last night. both elevators in a senior complex are down and residents say they've been left to fend for themselves since friday night. we have today's developments. >> this problem has been compounded because of the long holiday weekend. but i've been on the fob a couple times today with the top building inspector. he just made a personal visit to the property. he assures me he's working with police, fire and building management to make sure everyone here is safe. and that this repairs are

they hope will safe ratepayers from paying most of the bill. regulator fines levied against pg&e would go towards covering costs of the upgrade. >> the minimum expected fine of $200 million if applied towards pipe replacement would save about $660 million. a fine of $500 million could save ratepayers over $1.6 billion. >> we couldn't have a position on the bill and there is support for a similar bill that senator leno introduced early yir this year. i hope this goes through and they're not going to raise our rates and charge us for something you should have been doing all along. this should have never happened. >> and. >> it will be hurt by the

lay tow hoont. >> there is certainly hard to watch. the mother of the student is so upset she was meeting with someone from the district attorney's office asking that office to crack down on this kind of bullying. this video taken by a student shows the 11-year-old6th grader being punched by an 8th grader. also dragged and her hair pulled while other students from hogan middle school watched and did nothing. williams says she bt didn't know the stud wrent who attacked her. >> i remember me doing my hair, then i felt a hand on my shoulder. i turned like i'm being punched it happened last month at the school. and these pictures taken by her mom. her face swollen, her mother says her daughter suffered some memory loss and says it's hard for her to watch the
