how are fans reacting. sergio, are you there? let's come back to us. we'll get sergio back later. two fires are causing problems on the peninsula. a three-alarm fire destroyed a home in woodson, and a brush fire burned in the hills above brisbane. john alston is live there. >> reporter: the latest is the fire is now 100% contained but firefighters will be here for the next hour or so, smothering any remaining hot spots. power has been restored to virtually everyone. it is unanyone if the wind knocked the powerlines down, sparking the flames, but it's being looked into. the flames burned seven acres. threatened some homes in best became but no evacuations and no

injuries. wind has been a major factor all day. >> when we first received the call of the fire, the fire crews came out at 1:30, found some down powerlines and then we had reports of transformers that had blown. >> our biggest concern was the fact if the wind changed direction, the fire might send e extend into areas of structures in the city of brisbane. in addition to that there was delay in us trying to get so some areas because of the fact the powerlines were down. >> reporter: two air tankers and a helicopter made several passes, dropping fire retardant. that required some coordination with sfo, because this area is right near the flight path. airport operations were not disripped. at one point there were 70 firefighters here from organizations like cal fire, south san francisco, san bruno. right now they're mopping up and

hoping get to out of here in the next hour or so. we're along the bay shore boulevard. and bay shore boulevard, the offramp from northbound 101 is closed and will remain closed until they can clear this scene here. live in brisbane, abc-7 news. >> ama: now to a fire that destroyed a home are bear gulch in woodside. that fire has been contained but got scary after the flames started burping in -- burning in trees. >> alan: san france firefighters honored two of their own who died in the line of dutiy. lieutenant vein tent perez, and anthony valerio died fighting a house fire in diamond heights district. the firefighters held a public memorial at station 26. just blocks from the fire and where both men worked. fire officials blamed the death

on a flashover, a sudden flayup of heap caused when a window at the home shattered, sending a rush of oxygen into the flames. >> he sent one member home so he saved the life of another firefighter before he went the call. the fourth firefighterrer that was send home, he feels me brother saved his life as well. my brother went in with three firefighters, september the fourth guy home and he was the first guy through the door. >> lots of big boys in the family. we have to go forward. keep on going. >> alan: a memorial garden and plaques in honor of perez and valerio were dedicated at the station. >> ama: volunteers are wrapping up a daylong search for sierra lamar. it's been 11 weeks since she disappeared while heading to school. police arrested antoine morgan in connection with the kidnapping and disappearance, but her family and friends have not lost hope of fining her alive. they continue to raise money to

let's look at the wind speeds in a moment. here's the highs for today. san jose, 77. 85 in antioch. concord, 83. san francisco, 60. 83, santa rosa, and napa today, 84 degrees. here is a look at the current wind speeds, sfo gusts to 45 miles-per-hour. westerly at 17, oakland. gusts of 30 to the napa valley area. and fairfield, westerly gusts to 35 miles-per-hour. most of this should start to die down a bit of sunset this evening. but it still will keep it breezy near san francisco, the peninsula, and the coast overnight. san francisco right now, on the cool side at 56. 73 in napa, 82 in santa rosa, and interior east bay, concord, 75, and 77 in antioch. here's a look the highlights.
