the school year is just about over but controversy over those suspensions in brentwood is heating up. more seniors will find out in the morning if they'll be able to graduate this weekend following a prank that went too far. abc 7 news is live at heritage high with the latest on this. >> we learned this afternoon that there will likely be another round of suspensions related to this prank here in heritage tomorrow morning. the genesis is this senior prank involving about 80 students. and this small,0 group chained up a lamb in the campus quad. yesterday aç judge upheld suspensions and there is another hearing set for next

time to share the story of one of abc 7's top scholars. there are senior that's will receive a $1,000 college scholarship from abc 7. and i spent the afternoon with one of the scholars a smart young man who is truly an inspiration. >> i will be attending uc davis in the fall for biomedical engineering. >> the priorities? music, marshal arts and medical research. >> i had a something that never went away. bumps never went away. i started feeling fatigued. i was in shock.

when he said cancer it immediately thought about images of death or being really sick. >> doctors diagnosed him with nonhodgkin's lymphoma just before sophomore year. chemotherapy treatments forced him to be home schooled. >> i'm not going let this hold me back i just wanted to keep going it and was rot moet vaited me to do a lot of the things. it was a big source of strength for me. >> despite the cancer treatments, nathan back on the campus the second semester of sophomore year, resuming his position as first tennor in a jazz ensemble. >> i played in the spring concert and bounced back like nothing ever happened. >> the make a wish foundation gifted him with a mand hand made saxsa phone from france. >> so excited and i ended up
