you by mancini sleepworld. in contra costa county four families are looking for a new place live after a fire. this was sent via twitter by the fire crews on the scene. flames were shooting out of the apartment building. two units in the building were destroyed, two others heavily damaged. the families, 12 adults and two children got out okay no injuries the cause of the fire under investigation. in hayward, a firefighter rescued this 13-year-old bassett hound last night. it happened on lafayette about 8 p.m.. the couple managed to get out safely but told firefighters their dog mattie who is blind in within eye, was still inside. the firefighter in the picture found mattie in one of the bedrooms and carried her out safely.
