between sfo and san bruno, five minute delay on that line. right now our top story, developing news in oakland, police investigating freeway shooting that critically injured a man and shutdown eastbound 580 for three hours overnight officers received a call before 11 last night say five shots were fired and victim seen limping from this car near the fruitvale exit. the chp kept eastbound direction closed until 2:00 this morning to investigate. amy hollyfield will update this story in a live report coming up. parents of an oakland elementary school are camped out right now determined to force the district to reopen their school this fall. sue thompson is live at lakeview elementary with what is happening today. >> reporter: good morning. day four of this protest for parents we are outside lakeview elementary here in

oakland up these stairs behind me and beyond the fence there are 15 or so parents and families, some have been here since friday they say they will not bundle until the oakland unified school district -- they will not bundle until the oakland unified cool district will open their school. they are trying to be vocal parents rallied along grand avenue with signs asking the community to support them in this fight for education. lakeview is one of five schools shutdown the district claims because of budget cuts and declining enrollment. lakeview is set to become add astrayive offices parents say the district is dismantling public education in oakland and targeting those five schools with a large make- african-american and latino populations many one par kent told me -- one parent

will consider a plan to create more open spaces. the park master plan calls for more urban gardens. survey found strong support for the idea. also support for the creation of new hiking and biking trails. the park plan has been in the works for two years. today walnut creek city council expected to sign off on a 135 million dollar budget the plan will close a two million dollar gap through lay-offs program cuts and fee increases city leaders admit the plan has no money for roads and badly needed maintenance projects that includes rebuilding public pools and re-- refurbishing parks. facebook having a chilling effect on other companies. zuckerberg rang the opening bell last month now a report 29 other companies have pulled their plans to go public for now. analysts say many have cold feet because of what has

happened to facebook stock. friday shares closed above $30. the stock debuted at $38. in north bay the 68-year-old driver who hit-and-run a bicyclist, he was arrested after an off-duty police officer spotted a pick-up truck with front damage that matched the description of the suspect's vehicle the crash injured a retired professor. he says he left the scene of the crash because he was late for work. crews continue to monitor the air around a refinery after a leak that triggered a health advisory has been contained. haz-mat officials say a leak of sour water at a conoco phillips refinery was sealed off yesterday first reported friday and caused a smell so noxious 10 people suffered respiratory and throat irritation and nausea

live look outside foggy picture of downtown san francisco yeah, the fog is back with that cooler temperatures today after the weekend heat meteorologist lisa argen in for mike today will have more operate changes still ahead this week all coming up. -- 6:13. north america is after the top of the list when it comes to growing waistlines. new study says north america accounts for 1/3 of the world's obese people even though only 6% of the world's population lives here. comparison, asia accounts for 61% of the population, but only has 13% of the world's obese people. this new study appears in the journal bmc public health. move of us don't think much about our kitchen sink until we are thinking about

highway 580 to that on the eastbound side at fruitvale exit around 11:00 last night witnesses heard five gunshots. the man who was the victim did survive the attack. he was taken to the hospital we are told he's in critical condition. police did have to shutdown the section of that highway until 2:15 this morning. a few hours that drive inconvenienced but were able to open it up in time for the morning commute. police have not found the shooter they don't even have a suspect description they are looking for any help from the public they can they are trying to figure out was this road rage or was this person targeted? details we are hoping they will be able to tell us later today. amy hollyfield, abc7 news. 6:32. two east bay families are grieving the loss of two

fathers over the weekend while most families celebrated father's day. 41-year-old ace moore one of the three men who went fishing friday night on this boat he bought a few days ago he and his cousin johnny johnson downed early saturday morning. searchers recovered both bodies yesterday. moore's brother was rescued. >> my uncle grabs on to the boat and my cousin and my father didn't grab on quick off. -- quick enough. his sister came to my mom's house saying he left his life jacket. >> investigators say wearing life jackets would have saved both lives. family members say they were both strong swimmers. south bay commuters should be glad to see the completed upgrades on highway 101 interchange at tully road. the construction has created traffic delays since it began the just completed interchange
