bus driver taken for ransom. late last tonight one of the kidnappers was released from prison and comes as a shock to the victims. many dan broke news of the release on abc 7 news.com and he has the exclusive details. >>reporter: rick schoenfeld family told me about the scene at midnight when state parole agent delivered him home to 89-year-old mother on the peninsula. >> what were the first words. >> he said i can't believe i'm here. >>reporter: 36 years since rick schoenfeld his brother jim and accomplice fred wood kidnapped 26 children and the school bus driver in chowchilla drove them to this livermore quarry and made them climb down into a moving van they had buried there. 16 hours later before the kidnapper could call in the 5 million dollar ransom demand the bus driver and the kids dug their way out and found help. >> we dug out. we handed all the kids up. i handed the kids up to the other boys. we got out. >> it was a try him and

satellite radar composite image shows the high pressure centered offshore. low pressure inland and pool of cool air coming our direction. this cold front will bring us chance of showers in the north bay tomorrow. forecast animation 11:00 o'clock tonigh tonight. overnight we see some little pockets of drizzle mainly interthe coast line. will continue natural early morning hours rush hour tomorrow morning 5:00 o'clock and low clouds and fog and spotty drizzle near the coast then midday tomorrow more organized area of shower pushing into the north bay. so it's wet there but could be some isolated showers breaking off from that batch of showers north and pushing south ward object to the peninsula, santa cruz mount to the east bay. any time tomorrow evening there could be some light isolated showers. mane while overnight tonight low pressure in the upper 40's to low 50's then tomorrow showers in the north bay. and sunshine moving farther south eastward and high pressure well below average mainly in the 60's tomorrow.
