hills. katie marzullo join us live from the scene. >> reporter: the body was found here at highway and joaquin miller road. if you take a look at this video abc7 news was on scene as the coroner took the body away between 1:30, 2:00 this morning people driving saw the body of the woman in the brush they pulled over, tried cpr, called authorities. when authorities arrived they did declare her dead at the scene. this is being investigated as homicide. the officer told me it is unusual for this area. >> we done get a lot of calls up here. if we do, they are not something similar to this. >> reporter: police are not releasing any other details on the victim except she a woman. they are not saying whether they believe she was killed here or killed somewhere else

welcome back many a mountain climber recovering from serious injuries after an 800 foot fall. video shows the scene yesterday on mt. hood. officials say the man fell during his morning climb. luckily, a tranned rescue expert who happened to be climbing at the same time was close by and helped. thursday's fall comes one week after a 56-year-old man fell

1,000 feet to his death in that same area. new, the recent outage affecting twitter may have been the work of hackers. the outage happened yesterday morning lasted over an hour. the company is blaming the interruption on what it calls a cascading bug in one of its main frame computers. however reuters is reporting it has receive add e-mail from a hacker group claiming -- responsible for the outage. twitter denies that is the case. if you have read books electronically you want to listen. new study -- shows most e-book readers do not take advantage of local libraries and borrow digital backs instead of buying. pew research survey shows only 12% of e-book users downloaded a text from the library over the past year. researchers say people don't know that major publishers offer e-books to libraries around 60% couldn't say whether their libraries had

this five seat sedan is the company's first and its first attempt to connect with the mass market tesla has lost a building selling electrical sports cars so this is a big test. since it received a 465 million dollar government loan and has yet to turn a profit. these top models cost about $90 five,000 to $105,000 they go 265 miles per -- $905,000 to $105,000, they go 265 miles per hour. some analysts question whether the demand will be there. some are calling tesla's expectations unreasonable since demand in the u.s. for electric cars falling shore of expectations. tesla's sew told share holders he's positive he is going to meet his goals, they are planning for an electrical suv in 2014 this is important for

the electric car industry also here locally because the car is designed and built, company based here in the bay area. amy hollyfield, abc7 news. 6:34. this morning text messages between suspended san francisco sheriff ross mirkarimi, his wife eliana lopez and a campaign aide show an attempt at damage control regarding january's domestic violence incident. january 4th, mirkarimi campaign manager texted mere moore call me it is urgent regarding eliana, i need to talk to you to protect you, call me. later that day lopez text her husband you have to stop this before something happen, use your power. mirkarimi responds, i cannot this is all in context of a fight between mirkarimi and lopez on new year's eve and their neighbor alerting police which lead to a guilty plea for mirkarimi. the messages were leased as part of the official

misconduct case against mirkarimi. this morning, one of the men accused of kidnapping 26 school children and a school bus driver from a central valley town more than 35 years ago is a free man. i-team reporter dan noyes broke the news that rick schoenfeld was released from prison this week one of three convicted for hijacking the bus in 1976 and holding the kids and bus driver for ran some they hid the bus in a livermore quarry until the children and bus driver managed to escape before the ransom demand could be made. it was a horrible crime and it affected the kids, their families and their community. it was not a good thing. >> some of the kidnapped kids now adults say the release was a shock to them. alameda county coroner's office identified the woman killed in yesterday's early

morning fire in berkeley, 26-year-old meredith ann joyce. firefighters pulled her from the third floor of a victorian on lorina street near ashby avenue. two others were injured and taken to the hospital. investigators say eight were inside when the fire started, five residents, three visitors. >> parent protesters taking part in a sit-in at lakeview elementary in oakland planning major march this weekend. more details about the demonstration at a news conference scheduled for 9:00. they've been camping out at the school since last friday protesting plans to close the campus. oakland police have given them several warnings to leave the campus. tomorrow's march is scheduled to begin at frank ogawa plaza in oakland. protesters will then walk to the elementary school. in san jose today, attorneys will be meeting with a judge after an explosive courthouse confrontation yesterday in a priest beating

case. will lynch is accused of beating jerry lindner the former priest who he says molested him as a child. yesterday the trial was interrupted by shouting in the hall from a woman who says she was molested for years by the former priest. >> it happened really fast. i have a right, you need to look at me. and then the bailiff or whoever, stopped her and she started crying. >> it could have got physical. what do you expect. this guy did evil things to a lot of people and nobody has done nothing about it all these years. >> the judge halted the case after lindner took the stand, dismissing jurors until monday. speculation that lindner may have perjured himself and the attorneys want to plea or have the case dismissed. this morning the jury in the jerry sandusky child sex abuse case will continue deliberations amid startling new details the former penn state football coach's son may have been molested.

matt sandusky one of jerry sandusky's six adopted children. yesterday the son's lawyer issued a statement saying matt was prepared to testify that the coach low messed him as a child -- the coach molested him as a child. he's accused of molesting 10 boys over 15 years.
