same-sex marriage and last year "don't ask, don't tell" was repealed but some say there's still much to be done. >> smiling queens, costumes louder than the cheering audience, and beaming politicians. this is san francisco's pride 2012, and in the 42 years since people turn out for this event, the audience and participants have changed quite a bit. these days, it's expected to see a contingent of full uniformed san francisco police proudly marching here. but noticeably absent are lots of people in military uniforms. this is the first san francisco pride since "don't ask, don't tell" was fully repealed. i was expecting there might be some people in uniform. it that something that is possible yet? >> at this moment, not now. i know i'm really happy to say the coercion coercion is --

there are groups who are in the military who say that they are pushing to be able to participate in parades just like people participate for soldiers, active duty soldiers participate in parades like st. patrick's day and 4th of july. reporting live in san francisco, abc-7 news. >> alan: a scary scene in san francisco when neighbors reported a man sitting in front of his house armed with several weapons. police say no shots were fired but the man was sitting on the porch of his noe valley home with a hand gun. the man was taken into custody without instance accident is now under describing evaluation, charged with a misdemeanor weapons violation. >> ama: motorcyclist is recovering after trying to evade chp officers, they tried to pull him over after he allegedly drove through a red light this morning. he drove on to southbound 101 and lost control of his motorcycle and crashed on an

offramp, which was shut town for an hour. the chp says he will be charged with reckless driving and evading a police officers. sunny vail police want charges filed against a man who chp officers shot after a pursuit. the officers believed he was driving under the influence. he failed to stop when they tried to pull him over thursday on 101. chp says the pursuit ended in this sunnyvale neighborhood. there was confrontation and an officer fired several shots. the police want rigins to be charged with threatening an officer and violating probation. >> alan: the chp located a car involved in a deadly hit in and run in mountain view. investigators won't say if an arrest has been made but the found the car last night. just before 4:00 edafternoon the white toyota camera left the

scene where a driver of an audi swerved off an offramp and struck a tree. the driver of the audi died at the scene. >> ama: tomorrow a judge is expected to hear the request for a mistrial of a man who beat up a priest who he claims abused him. the defense claims lawyers knowingly allowed false testimony. on wednesday the priest denied he abused the man. the case will resume tomorrow he has plead not guilty to the assault in 2010. >> alan: tonight parts of alabama and florida are under tropical storm warning as debby turns on the gulf coast. it's bringing pounding rain which is what they need in colorado where wildfires are charring hundreds of miles. here's more on this perilous

weather. >> reporter: tropical storm debis royleing the waters on its way to the gulf coast. rain bands have given residents a taste of what to expect. >> just a big boom. >> reporter: wind-ripped brain sent this tree crashing into a home. >> i'm glad none of my boys were in the front room because there's actual branches in the room. >> reporter: the ordeal wasn't over. another part of the tree just missed them. debby is moving slowly across the gulf over florida's panhandle. the couric center puts her on a path south and west of new orleans, where a coastal flood warning has been issued. on the beaches, folks are enjoying the weather while they can. >> we'll be leaving if it's coming soon. >> high tide is a danger. >> have a foot and a half or so high. higher than normal. >> reporter: out west, wildfires are thriving on the hot and dry weather. >> firefighters have been doing everything they can to get this

fire under control and contain it. mother nature just simply has not cooperated. >> reporter: the latest outbreaks are near colorado springs where winds pushed the waldo canyon fire, threatening hubs of homes. 130 miles north evacuations were mandatory with 21 structures lost to the flames. some evacuees were allowed home and then forced to leave again. temperatures around 100 degrees are expected to prolong one of the colorado's worst fire seasons in memory. >> ama: the oakland fire that shut down b.a.r.t. ten days ago is just a memory to a lot of people but investigators are still out there trying to determine the cause. so far investigators have sifted through 30,000 pounds of rubble. the fire on june 14th june 14th destroyed a senior center that was nearly finished. early reports suggest ited was arson but hat has yet to be confirmed. >> alan: the 489ers and the city

of st. clare a are hudleing up to figure out what to do now that the county cut $30 million from the stadium project. the county property tax board found a loophole in the law and voted to spend the money on schools instead. changes in redevelopment funding now give counties total control how the money is spent. the money amounts to less than 3% of the total cost of the stadium so county leaders are hoping the 49ers will absorb the lot. 49er officials are reviewing that decision. an east bay man installed a surveillance camera in front of his house to prevent a crime. >> ama: never expected this. he captured himself being held up at gunpoint. hear from him coming up. also. >> alan: a nation rejoices. egypt has new president and for the first time in it's modern history the country will be ruled bay civilian. >> leigh: i'm leigh glaser, i know, it has been an

sunburned during a school field trip because the teacher's were not allowed to put sun screen on them. they were so badly burned their mother had to rush them to the hospital. sow rehas a disease which makes her sun sensitive but most american schools do not allow sun screen without a doctor's note. dermatologist say its needs to be applied every two to three hours to be effective. >> i can't see any justification for any school to tell a child they're not allowed to apply sun screen. >> i think it's really dumb. >> alan: california is the only state that allows sun screen in school without a doctor's note. >> ama: very interesting. we're starting to get a lot more sunshine as the weather starts to warm up again. >> alan: put your send screen on. leigh glaser is here to tell us more about that. >> leigh: here's a live look from the high definition accept -- santa cruz cam.

temperatures, 76 degrees. and you can see a few high cloud developing to the north coast. the bay area looking great. now, we have a strong westerly wind component so as the low clouds and fog signature off the coast, this will slowly advance towards the bay area overnight. speaking of the wind, here's a look at current readings, westerly gusts at sfo. live moore, fair field, through the gap, you're getting blown around a bit with gusts to 23, and oakland, westerly winds to 20 miles-per-hour. current readings, we are in the 70s to low 70s in the east bay, with 73 right now in antioch. 70 in concord. these temperatures running well below where we should be this time of year. san francisco, 61. half moon bay, 59. it will be clear overnight. clouds at the coast. a cool and breezy day for your monday. with those coastal clouds and then -- we get into wednesday and thursday time frame, that's when high pressure will build in and temperatures will start to

warm back up for us. tonight it will be cool. interior north and east bay locations with lows in the upper 40s. we'll look for 50s around the bay as well as the coast, and the crow cloudiness and fog is sitting just off the coast and will swing in overnight tonight. the culprit has been this area of low pressure sitting off the north coast and spinning counterclockwise and has brought us the cooler air mass and gusty onshore winds. it will be here one more day and could bring coastal drizzle overnight tonight and tomorrow. so, looks like another cool day, breezy conditions for monday. once this thing kicks off toward the east, high pressure will build in and we'll begin to warm things up. here's how we go in terms of your commute tomorrow. the low clouds and fog will stay off the coast until 8:00 a.m. then will start to funnel in through the north bay areas, around san francisco and the coast, and then start to back off around tomorrow afternoon, only to move back inland

overnight. real quickly, i want show to you the live doppler 7 hd picking up a great shot of tropical storm debby. the winds are 60 miles-per-hour. the thing is just sitting here and spinning. they're expecting anywhere from 10 to as much as 15 inches of rainfall in the panhandle of florida for at least the next two or three days, because this thing is not moving that much. so bears watching, especially if you have travel plans in this direction. here's a look at the highs across the bay area for your monday. much like today, 75 for antioch. 73 for concord. accept rosa, warm to 71. 64 for san francisco. 73 for san jose and 76 for morgan hill. 74 for watsonville. the forecast, one more little cool day, tomorrow, and after that, warmer days ahead. 80s return by thursday and friday, even some mid-60s at the beaches. so a nice week ahead. >> ama: mike shumann is back. i heard you guys screaming.
