we have breaking news from the east bay. hayward police are on the scene of an officer involved shooting at the intersection of santa clara and "a" street. police tell us they shot a suspect outside a check cashing store. no word on the suspect's condition. they have the streets in the area shut down while they investigate. good evening, i'm alan wang. tonight for t problems tonighte 49ers. $30 million slated for the new stadium has gone away. tomas ramon is live at the stadium construction site to tell us why the money is being diverted. >> reporter: governor brown

dissolved the redevelopment agencies. here in santa clara they decided it's not football. >> the new 49er stadium is under construction and on its way $1.2 billion venue. they decided to divert $30 million earmarked for the stadium for other needs. >> its fair decision on to show the city made a best effort to retain the funds but they were taken away. the team has committed to hang this additional money. we want to make sure the money is invested in our schools. >> they voted that $40 million in redevelopment funds should go to help build the stadium. sense then $10 million was spent. friday the remaining $30 million went away. the decision was made an oversight committee charged with how the funds should be spent.

concern if the city promised the money is it still on the hook for the funds. kevin morse says no but is disappointed by the vote. >> we backed everything so the 49ers would be on the hook. we're in good shape. its disappointment because they were promised this and voters overwhelmingly for this and the school district voted for it so it's puzzling. >> not to a group of teachers who opposed the stadium six years ago. >> we think public tax money should go to schools and community colleges and all the other things, not a private corporation. >> attorneys for the 49ers have claimed that the city has an obligation to pay the money it promised. the county attorneys say the funds are not an enforceable obligation. >> my concern was when push came to shove it came down lawyers. >> proposition "j" had a provision, that neither the city

nor the redevelopment agencies were liable for the financial obligations for the stadium authority. stadium authority is the one that promised the $30 million. 49ers have so far decided to the no comment. tonight stockton is on the verge to be the largerest city to file for bankruptcy. deadline is late tomorrow. officials are still hoping to restructure millions of dollars in debt under a new stayed mediation law. they have been hit by foreclosure and lost income from proper taxes. thousands hit the streets for gay pride across the u.s. today. in san francisco they celebrated the 42nd anniversary of pride. organizers say it's the largest lgbt gathering. sergio q the m the midst of the celebration today. >> the numbers are not in yet

but organizers say they expected about a million people to participate in this year's san francisco pride. among them are revellers displaying hallmarks of the event. of course, there is music, lots and lots of music. ♪ >> the parade bit changed a bit in the 42-year history. it charged as an active defiance but now an event where people bring their kids. for some marching there is still a push for their families to be fully recognized by the government. >> we can get legally married in the land of apartheid something wend of do in the land of the free. >> they are with a group. >> so same-sex couples can

sponsor them but it's beyond that, to keep families together. >> they are at risk of being pretty by deportation. so as droves of people came to the site and striking a pose, the community has lots of progress to be proud of but some leaders are pushing for more. >> why do we remember we have more work to do. >> as for marriage equality in california, proposition 8 was passed in 2008 effectively barring same-sex marriage in california, they continued to make its way through the federal court appeals process. pride parades took place all over the nation. in new york, they were among thousands to join in the festivities this morning. >> a fire heavily damaged a house in hayward tonight. no one was home by the time firefighters got to the house, it was fully involved.

they had to saw through the doors. it happened before 8:30 and it was out in less than 15 minutes. they believe the fire started in the kitchen and spread to the attic. a fire in san francisco's tenderloin had the red cross helping several residents find shelter tonight. just after 6:30 this evening, flames were seen coming out of an apartment on o'farrell street. it spread to the fourth floor. six apartments were damaged. one person were treated for minor injuries. >> fire investigators in oakland say they may finish sifting through rump of a massive fire tomorrow. a home under construction burned to the ground ten days ago. investigators still have not said if they found anything point totaling cause of the fire. >> a wildfires burning in colorado are still growing tonight. authorities now say 250 homes have been destroyed.

>> it's one of eight fires burning in the state right now. a new fire erupted today. here is the story. >> reporter: look at this time lapse over the last 24 hours, that orange blaze there on the horizon, showing one of the devastating fires in colorado. firefighters shall now losing ground, less than half of this fire under control. >> it's right outside fort collins, colorado and it's already destroyed 191 homes. that blaze is the largest and most expensive in colorado history. tonight the newest fire is near colorado springs and shows just how quickly these flames can spread with conditions right now providing the perfect fuel. the fire started burning 24 hours ago in waldo canyon and swept across 2,000 acres charring land. thousands of homes have been evacuated, 11,000 people told to leave. one husband said he learned of evacuations that it changed. >> they said the evacuations

os big celebrations underway in egypt where a new president has been elected.

cairo's tahrir scare, they cheered for mohammad morsi, the first islamic head of state to be elected out of arab revolution. all of egypt is waiting to see what the new president can actually do. the ruling military party has stripped away most of the presidential powers and dissolved the elected parliament. >> the u.s. supreme court are expected to hand down a ruling on healthcare that could come as early as tomorrow. lilian kim is here with more. >> it's the best kept secret in washington. dozens of people that worked for them and it's a decision that will affect just about everyone. david just graduated from u.c. berkeley, he already has a job but doesn't qualify for health

coverage but she covered because under the president obama's health care overhaul, he can stay under the parents insurance plan. >> who knows what, anything can happen. everybody has to have health insurance. >> that could change depending on how they rule on the affordable care acted. they could strike down to all or part of the law. like for bidding insurance company proposing lifetime dollar limits. >> there is a wide number of possibilities. >> john is a professor of the goldman school of public policy at u.c. berkeley. key issue is the provision of the law that requires everyone to buy health insurance starting in 2014. if justices strike down the individual mandate, affordable care acted will begin to unravel as insurance companies will

pressure congress to change the law. >> without the individual mandate you don't have the money going into the pool to pay for that. so what most people assume what will happen is the insurance companies will switch from being in favor of obamacare to be against it. >> they hope the law stays intact. >> an environmental science major and not being able to be on the parents health care would be bad. >> the decision doesn't come down tomorrow it will be as early as thursday. >> now to one of the most intrusive of crimes, peeping toms. this 18-year-old is under arrest. police say he was caught n at a target store stalking aisles and

taking upskirt videos. last year another peeping tom got more than he bargained for after he slipped a camera where a woman was trying on clothes. >> i started screaming at him and got him off me and pushed him across the face a few times. >> they tracked charged him with disorderly conduct. he confessed and got caught. >> a san diego man got caught. it was vending machine. police say he was trying to steal a soda. he apparently reached inside the slot of the machine and got his arm stuck. nearby trolley rider called for help. >> we thought if we could get someone that could come out and have a key and have access and do a little damage but nobody had the key.

along the north coast in the form of mist and drizzle and some may move into the bay area tomorrow night. let's go ahead and check out current temperatures for you. we're all in the 50s. 52 in santa rosa. san francisco 55. 56 in livermore. 56 in antioch. our highlights, keep it clear overnight. we'll start to bring in a little bit of low cloudiness right around the coast. it will be a cool, sunny breeze with coastal clouds, they will increase early tuesday morning and then after that, get ready for high pressure to build in and warmer weather pattern right on in through the latter part of our workweek. it's going to be chilly tonight. cloverdale 43. san rafael getting down to 49 degrees. it's going to be the north bay communities in the mid 40s. interior valleys getting to 48.

after a pair of frustrating one-run losses to the giants a's finally pulled one out. a.j. griffin was making his major league debut. buster posey takes him deep for a two-run homer and giants are on top. matt cain threw seven strong innings. this is one of his seven strikeouts. griffin settled down to retire 16 of the next 18 batters. he struck out four. smith ripped this ball down the right field line, it's called foul but it did dig up chalk, it should have been fair and the manager is not happy. melky cabrera with the running catch. still down by one and josh read i can into a double play. full count for derek norris and

we have breaking news from san francisco. a california highway patrol officer has been hurt in an accident on 280. it happened about an hour ago. it took more than half an hour to free the officer trapped inside the car. his injuries are not life-threatening. accidentn happened but the chp says it did not involve any other cars.

hayward police are on the scene of an officer-involved shooting. the shooting happened about an hour ago. police tell us they shot a suspect outside a check cashing store, no word on the suspect's condition. >> firefighters made quick work of a house fire in hayward but not before the home was heavily damaged. no one was home at the time and nobody noticed the fire until flames caught the attention of neighbors. >> $30 million was supposed to go to the 49er stadium and the money will instead be spent on local schools. tropical storm debby, never have we had so many so early. debby is already responsible for one death and florida officials urged the evacuation of low-lying areas.
