developers conference here. we will see it this morning. terry mcsweeney, abc7 news. 4:33 now. the wildfires scorching parts of the west have turned deadly joining hundreds of homes evacuated key training ground for future military leaders. katie marzullo with a wrap up. >> reporter: this morning we are learning of the first death associated with the massive wildfires burning from montana to arizona. a woman found in an area that had been evacuated, two dozen homes have burned there. the waldo fire overnight in arizona consuming entire neighborhoods, it has burned more than 6200 acres and jumped containment lines in colorado springs authorities evacuated the air force academy grounds 2,000 that left the base, 32,000 have left the town. flames destroyed unknown

number of homes. >> my dad called and he is like there's flames a from your house. we made sure everyone left. >> can't see up there. >> reporter: elsewhere the high park fire in northern colorado has destroyed nearly 260 homes and burned 136 square miles. firefighters fighting the good fight but they are dealing with horrific weather, 100+ temperatures and 65 mile an hour winds in some places. arson investigators looking into what caused three fires that broke out within 30 minutes of one another yesterday this is video taken moments after firefighters arrived. it was 12:30 in the morning they were fighting their third fire in 30 minutes. 75 firefighters answer the calls one fire started in recycling bin and spread another broke out a few yards

away, neighbors are worried. >> a wig blow-up explosion, gunshot. -- >> it is not safe any more looks like to me. and it is disturbing. >> 22 people, including eight children have been displaced because of the fires they are getting help from the red cross and staying in local hotels. livermore teenager recovering after being bitten by a shark while vacationing in hawaii. shark warnings are being posted where paramedics treated the girl for a three to five inch bite wound on her left calf. the attack happened while she was sitting in two feet of very shallow water. another teen says she saw a shark off the beach the night before. >> i turned around and i saw just a door sell fin and my mom yell -- a door sill fin and my mom yelled shark. -- >> hawaii officials think it was a leave shark that

attacked they are usually five to six feet long and stay in the same shallow water. >> update to a story we brought you on the morning news at 4:30 yesterday. search for a missing dodgers fan who may have fallen into san francisco bay has turned into a recovery mission. 12 hour search by coast guard helicopter, san francisco police and fire boats came up empty yesterday. the 27-year-old from woodland had just left the giants game when he vanished. a friend told police he was in the car on his cell phone when the man stepped out of the car and walked towards pier 30. when he looked up his buddy was gone. san francisco gay rights activist free on bail while authorities consider whether to file child pornography 66-year-old lawrence brinkin served on the human rights commission until his retirement. he was arrested friday after police searched his home.

investigators in los angeles received tips in january that someone with an aol username had been communicating with e-mail attachments. san francisco police got the case in may when the suspect's name turned out to be lawrence brinkin. testimony continues in the trial of a man accused of beating a priest. william lynch is being tried for assaulting father gerry lindner in may of 2010. yesterday testimony from paramedics and deputies focused on father lindner's injures. a judge ruled three witnesses, including father lindner's niece can no longer testify. they all claim they were abused by the former priest. >> i was nervous about it on the other hand i'm like get to finally do something about it, say something about it.

and now i can't. and it makes me sick. >> there have been three requests for a mistrial by the defense. the judge has denied all three. lynch is expected to testify in his own defense. lawyer for the wife of suspended san francisco sheriff ross mirkarimi says her client is ready to fly from venezuela to testify in person at his hearing if the city is willing to pay for her ticket. commission resumes hearing tomorrow evening. mirkarimi is fighting to keep his job after pleading guilty to domestic violence charge involving a new year's eve incident with his wife. i-team reporter dan noyes traveled to venezuela for an interview with lopez. the chronicle reports that lopez's attorney says if city officials want her to testify it is only fair they pay to bring her here. a roundtrip ticket could cost

and some schools and parks. a lot of commuters will be facing higher fares starting sunday. muni passengers in san francisco will pay $2 for adult muni fast pass. on bart riders will see a 1.4% fare increase. one-way cash fares on caltrain and go go transit buses go up by a quarter golden gate ferries will charge 25 cents more per trip. yesterday pacific gas and electric crews began plugging what remains of the pipeline tented over the pipe and hooked up tanks to keep the -- since the 2010 explosion pg&e has racked up more than 2,000 safety code violations for inaccurate or incomplete records on its gas pipelines. >> it is important to go in through the retirement process

this is north 101 and that's 880 across your screen, no delays despite the accident. looking good in the south bay. earlier hit-and-run reported on westbound 580 through the altamont pass. with the waze traffic app you can see it is flowing well. a little slowing earlier westbound 580 moving at 34 miles an hour. right now still no big problems and also, a car fire just reported 580 at the canyon we'll look at that. here's a quick shot, 680 still good through walnut creek. this is important for those of us who work the morning, coffee heart healthy food? that's suggestion from a new study, drinking two eight ounce cups of java per day can reduce chance of developing heart disease by 11%.
