during the initial public offering last month. it wants to show it can turn popularity into profits but not in a hurry. facebook says it is not going to be happening in a big hurry. in a filing last week the company says its mobile users continue out-pace the number of ads on its mobile platform and ads provide most of facebook's revenue. the number of mobile users is rising. analysts are expecting earnings of 12 cents per share on revenue of over a s -- over a billion dollars. facebook public may 18th. things didn't go well it started at 38 now down 24%. nasdaq had trouble contributing to the mess with a number of glitches on that problematic trading day. yesterday, zynga announced disappointing earnings. it contributed 12% to

facebook's revenue last year. investors will look at how many users does facebook have? how long do they go on the sight, how often do they go on the site is there a way to take that plus the information facebook knows about users and make ads for those individuals? the bar is set low, so it is expected facebook is going to meet expectation. terry mcsweeney, abc7 news. a cable car -- a suspected drunk driver hit the cable car. suv hit the car last night at union square none of the passengers were hurt. police took the suv's driver into custody. rangers say they've found the body of a missing san rafael man.

31-year-old tom hang last seen sunday afternoon. he had set out on a day hike and reported missing. teams searched but found no sign of him until yesterday. the national park service is investigating the circumstances of his death. they say foul play does not appear to be involved. big rig driver okay after driving his truck into a tree in san francisco. it happened around 1:30 this morning. fire crews worked to pull big branches of the tree off the big rig. firefighters grinded up the branches to free the truck, no reports of injuries. this morning a 12-year-old boy is in critical condition after a freak accident. a huge oak tree came crashing down on the tent he and his friend were camping in at san mateo county memorial park early yesterday morning. officials say the tree crushed the boy's pelvis.

the other boy escaped with cuts and bruises. san mateo county has a program that checks for rotten trees before camping season. investigators say the tree has obvious signs of rot common in oaks but not sure of the tree's health when it was examined earlier in the year. >> it is a procedure on looking at the condition of the tree and the shape it is in and which way it leans and those kinds of things. if we give it a hazardous tree rating we remove the tree. >> the branches of the tree hit the family's other tefpbts but nobody else was seriously injured. latest on the colorado movie theater massacre. the university once attended by the suspected gunman confirms it received a package at its campus this week, three days after the shootings, sent by james holmes and contains a notebook with vivid descriptions of his planned attack. tahman bradley has more.

>> reporter: this morning, a huge clue about the suspected shooter in the movie theater massacre. sources tell abc news james holmes may have mailed to the university of colorado, the school he attended until dropping out last month, a notebook detailing plans to carry out the massacre. fox news quotes a law enforcement source who says the notebook contains full details about how holmes planned to kill people, including graphic illustrations of stick figures shooting and killing one another. in denver yesterday, the first memorial service for one of the 12 victims of the shooting. i was for a 51-year-old man who went to the movie with his teenaged children they escaped harmed, he was killed. >> it is hard. but it was good. >> reporter: many of the law enforcement heroes from that night paid tribute to the victims all human and affected by this greatly. >> reporter: this morning, we are hearing from more of the victims and their families and you might be surprised by the

compassion they are showing the shooter. he was shot three times, but he says he forgives the suspect and doesn't want him to get the death penalty. >> he's a lost soul. i pray the lord can find his way into his heart and change him. >> reporter: shirley lost her daughter rebecca. >> i'm so thankful that he did not kill himself or be killed. i want him alive >> reporter: three hospitals carrying for the -- caring for the wounded showing compassion they will limit or completely wipe out victims' medical bills. tahman bradley, abc news. the san jose city council will decide whether to put a half cent increase on the ballot santa clara county officials will consider an eight cent -- an eighth of a

more cats all but the living cats were crammed into the garage and bedroom most of the rescued cats were well fed but suffering from infections and parasites. all are expected to survive. officials say some of the cats may have been people's pets that were scooped up off local streets. >> we are getting calls from people who have cats missing and are hoping that a good outcome can come from this tragic case. >> now the two people who were living in those homes, they are related the case is being forwarded to the district attorney's office. modesto gas station focus of protest after an employee told a veteran he was not welcomed. nearly 100 people held signs outside the chevron station yesterday. he went in to buy a soda but was told he wasn't welcome because of his military
