crashed into a house with an infant inside. >> terry mcsweeney joins us live. how is the baby? >> reporter: the baby is fine. but, barely. an infant a two-month-old sleeping in her bassinet when a car slammed into the room in which she was sleeping. she wasn't alone. she had her 2-year-old brother and their mother sleeping in the room on the other side of where you see that black cadillac. happened about an hour ago. we have video to show you tighter shots of the car and also how close it came to doing damage to the child. again, everybody got out okay. it happened an hour ago. according to police the car was racing down the street, there are skid marks it went into a driveway, bounced off one house into that house where sarah gutierrez and her two children layla two months old and sean, 3-years-old were all sleeping.

sarah told me about this incredibly emotional event. she was telling me through tears that the car came through the wall, it hit a bookcase. the bookcase hit the bassinet where the child was sleeping and there was debris in the baby's hair. the 2-year-old and the two-month-old and the 3-year-old all screaming and crying. there's a car she says there were four people in the car and police confirmed that there were three men and one woman inside that car they got out and ran. the car is not reported stolen, owner is registered i should say out of alameda there is no answer at the owner's home right now police have been trying to contact the owner to see if it was stolen or what is going on with the car. more importantly to the moment, a mother and her two children are fine, barely after that cargoes through the wall of that house -- after that car

foot tall oak tree fell on to the buy's 10. he and another 12-year-old boy were sleeping inside. authorities say it did crush his pelvis. the other boy scratched and bruised, but okay. the boys were camping with their families in memorial park, seven miles east of pescadero. investigators say the tree did have signs of brown cubicle rot. san mateo county says it has a program that checks for rot ten trees at campsites. officials aren't sure if this tree was checked. >> -- >> it is a procedure on looking at the condition of the tree and the shape it is in, which way it leans and those kinds of things. if we give it a hazardous tree rating we remove the tree. >> reporter: authorities will be checking records to see if this tree was inspected. the boy is not being identified because of his age. authorities did say that he lives in arizona but used to live here in the bay area and

the camping trip is an annual weeklong event for him and his extended family. amy hollyfield, abc7 news. just about:05 now this morning san jose police -- looking for the killer who stabbed a man to death last night. officers found the victim at the corner of east st. johns and north second shortly after 8:30 he had been stabbed at least once paramedics rushed him to the hospital he was pronounced dead there the name has not been released and detectives have not determined motive and not identified suspects. police say a suspect in monday morning's double murder of a san jose couple may be in southern california intending to go on to mexico. he is believed to be responsible for fatally shooting the couple it happen at the couple's home in the 300 block of north 7th street. they reunited after being separated. investigators believe the shooter might have been her

bay area woman heading a class action lawsuit accusing wal-mart of discriminating against disabled customers. the center for independent living filed on behalf of janet brown from pittsburgh. the complaint says wal-mart has ignored complaints its point of sale months are not within easy reach of people in wheelchairs. a wal-mart spokes person says its gel is to make all machines comply with the americans for disabilities act. streaming video from the internet to tv's, computers or tablets is easier than ever. there are a lot of choices. michael finney tells us there's a common complaint about some of these streaming services. >> reporter: good morning. new consumer report survey shows more people watch videos from their couch than in the theater there are dozens of services to choose from this report will help you sort through which is best for you. lynn used to rent from a local

90s black cadillac about to get dragged out of here this is far, far more than a car racing down bell street crossing cooley bouncing off one house into another. it is about what was in that other house. take a look at pictures from earlier with the car still into the side of this house and inside that house, a bedroom where a mother and her two children were sleeping. two-month-old layla was in there. 3-year-old sean was in there. as was sarah gutierrez, they were sleeping when out of nowhere there came a crash, the mom heard the baby screaming, she picks up the story from there. >> all of a sudden the car just came right in and went right towards the bassinet. all i heard was her screaming. and then my 3-year-old son was screaming. and we just -- my little brother had to break our door down to get us out of the room because it was only halfway smashed.

>> reporter: you are looking now damage at the first house that the car hit where a woman who uses a walker to get around her home was slammed into by this black cadillac. all police can tell me about the suspects four people were in the car, three males, one female, the female was seen limping away don't know who they were. we know the car is registered to somebody in alameda. don't know fit was stolen, don't know the story behind that police are looking into that. this was close to being -- this was close to being a true tragedy car slams into the wall hit the book shelf which hits the baby's bassinet, and debris from the wall goes on to the child's head, this two-month-old baby's head and the 3-year-old also waking up and screaming. i got a chance to talk to -- we saw the mom got a chance to

firefighters ground up the branches to tree the truck no reports of injuries. 12 year boy in critical condition after a freak accident huge oak tree came crashing down the tent that he was camping in at san mateo county's memorial park, seven miles east of pescadero yesterday morning. the tree crushed the boy's pelvis. the other boy escaped with cuts and bruises. san mateo county has a program that checks for rotten trees at campsites in the spring. investigators state fallen tree has obvious signs of a rot that is common in oaks but not sure of the tree's health when it was examined earlier this year. >> it was a tan oak tree, probably to 20 inches in diameter and 50 to 60 feet tall. as far as i know, there was no wind conditions that contributed to this. >> the branches of the tree hit the family's other tents

at the campsite as well, nobody else was seriously injured. 6:36. rangers at the national forest in the sierra say they found the body of a missing san rafael man. 31-year-old tom hang last seen sunday afternoon on mount langley he set out on a day hike and reported missing. teams searched for hang but found no sign of him until yesterday. national park services investigating but they say foul play does not appear to be involved. natural foods factory in fremont plans to issue a voluntary recall today after shutting down because of a rat infestation. inspectors found rodents boroughing and nesting in containers of tea and -- spices. the company has apologized for what happened and issued a statement saying, since its discovery in full cooperation with the regulatory
