coordinated attack to protest an investigation into anarchist activity. police putting out new warnings for anyone who shops on craig's list. we are told about the new rash of robberies. the latest targeting a car buyer who was lured by an internet ad right into a trap. >> give me the money or kill, i kill. >> this man say he was robbed to the gunpoint when he respond today an ad on craigslist. he said the person wanted him to come here this quiet section of berkeley to buy the car. when he showed up he says he was surprised by two men. he does not want his face shown on camera. >> he broke my glass and said give me the money. and i had the guy in my head. give me the money. >> he says he had his wife and two young daughters in the car with him at the time. he also had the $6,500 in cash seen here that he had to pay for the car. >> because he say only cash, no

checks, no nothing, only cash. >> brooklyn police say he's the fourth victim this past week in an increasing rash of these robberies. >> since last week we've had four robberies in the last four days and several weeks prior we've seen at least one or two robberies either within a week or within a couple of weeks. >> officer watson said the crimes are similar. an ad for a car or electronic device is placed on craig's list. the address is usually in a quiet, upscale oakland neighborhood. the meet is set between eight and 9:00 p.m.. each victim has been robbed at gunpoint usually by men but also a woman was seen. >> victims reported are different races. caucasian, hispanic and african-american males are reported, sometimes working individually or in groups. >> watson said she doesn't know if it's a ring of thieves or just some robbers who have found easy targets online looking for a bargain. she said that's one of the things to look out for if you are shopping on craigslist, something that looks too good to be true.

california health department said the california case of mad cow disease at a ranch in april was an a isolated case that did not pose a threat to the nation's food supply. the cow was unable to stand and had to be euthanized. as a precaution, her calf also had to be put down but tested negative. it's only the fourth time the mad cow disease was found in the united states. the cares a fatal bovine brain discovered was discovered during random testing conducted by the usda. a red flag warning remains in effect today in oklahoma as the three largest cities are being threatened by wildfires. it's so bad authorities can only say that dozens of homes and building in and around oklahoma city, norman and tulsa have been destroyed by fires that erupted yesterday. they say the oklahoma city fire may have been started by someone throwing burning newspapers out of back of a pickup truck. firefighting efforts have not only been ham birdie by gusting winds but a temperature of a record of 113 degrees, hundreds

san francisco. we're talking about plenty of clouds around this morning with some slow clearing and a slight chance after form up in our north bay mountains. warming up again, though, next week. we are talking your triple digit heat by, say, thursday and friday. here's a look at our fog forecast throughout the day today. you will notice by 4:00 we've got a little area of sunshine up by concord and perhaps the livermore valley today. mist and drizzle along the coast so we aren't look at a lot of clearing. it will be a cool afternoon with temperatures just in a narrow range, mainly 60s and 70s. the reason why this disturbance to the west of us is coupleping up that sub tropical moisture. there's a thunderstorm here and also southern california by bakersfield and santa barbara looking at plenty of moisture there. with that moisture heading to the north and the disturbance offshore, the next 36 hours we are looking at the red flag warning in effect for tonight in

the sierra nevada through 11:00 sunday. so anywhere from the southern sierra into northern lake tahoe, wrapping around to lake county. this includes our north bay mountains. you will see the buildups of the cumulus clouds and the possibility of those strong outflow winds that could spread any fires that are ignited by lightning strikes. so for today, then, you will notice the moisture here. in fact, all across the state today you will notice the possibility of those thunderstorms or the higher clouds that indicate that unstable atmosphere. today just 80 in concord with 68 in oakland. the a's are playing so look for the cloudy skies with low to mid-60s there. 69 richmond and petaluma music festival, low 70s n the south bay the renaissance fair with mid-70s ask san jose only 59 on the coast. along the central coast look for more clouds but 80 by the afternoon with a little bit of sunshine. so that disturbance will head out of town tomorrow.

>> you are watching abc7 saturday morning news. >> in sam men toe we have the results of an audit of more than 500 special funds controlled by state agencies. it was ordered by the governor after last month's $54 million state park budget scandal. abc7 news capital correspondent nannette miranda look at what the state officials uncovered. >> there are not other hidden assets. >> a sweeping audit of california's 560 special funds ordered by governor jerry brown found that the secret $54 million hidden in the parks department budget for more than a decade was an anomaly. >> this makes it clear that there are no other hidden pots of money. >> but auditors found more than more than than $400 million in discrepancies. blamed mostly on accounting

discrepancies. the timing of when bills are counted and plane old human error. >> for example, the victims' compensation fund has an extra $29 million now. >> that's money from criminals who must pay restitution to their victims. the state disburses the funds for things like counseling, emergency relocation or burial services. >> a little concerned because where was this money, why did this happen? >> crime victims action alliance says the fund went nearly broke last year. the fund's board had to make drastic moves to stay solvent, including lowering the maximums victims receive. >> the fund was in dire straights and the board had to take some very serious action and roll back some monetary caps. >> the group hopes the newly found money can go toward helping more victims. as far as parks, governor brown made it clear he wants the extra parks money to stay in that department. that, after several donors came forward threatening to rescind their contributions if leaders used the $54 million for something else.

it's going to be held at the vine street development center from noon until four. go to abc7news.com/jobs for more information on that. plans to charge for parking at a santa rosa shopping mall have been delayed by at least another week to complete mall renovation. the santa rosa press reports they have been telling customers three decades of three parking will end this monday. mall operators say the charges are necessary to discourage other downtown workers from take up parking spaces before the mall even opens. once it opens, the first 90 minutes are free and after that a two dollars charge kicks in and increases to nine dollars to park all day long at the mall. coming up next, the important role bay area

view. so our highlights cloudy with some fog this morning. a chance of thunder in our north bay mountains this afternoon, through the evening hours. so you will see the cumulus buildups in the higher elevations, the east bay hills. but the red flag warning is to the east of us. it is definitely worth noting that we could see a lightning strike here or there. not a great chance. about 15, 20% chance. warming up again into next week. here's a look at our fog forecast you have notice everyone is socked in right here but through the 9:00 hour, a little bit of a hole there in concord, and then by noon, 1:00, you will notice some east bay clearing. but the mist and drizzle this morning and plenty of low clouds out there throughout the day today. so that's going to keep the temperatures down and also we are adding in those mid-level clouds from this system here. so this is pulling up the moisture, the subtropical moisture, the rotation around this low and counter clockwise and it's all heading to the north and east across the state. so we will have the possibility
