after an officer-involved shooting. evidence technicians forecasted the area where a 31-year-old man was shot by police officers after being chased at 6:30 this evening. residents of the area told us offcamera they heard five shots after employs warned the map to stop. >> they kept hearing him say, stop, police, stop. he turns on the officers, produces a handgun, black and silver. the officer, fearing for his safety, discharges his weapon, strikes the subject. >> be okay? >> the man was brought here to san francisco general hospital. the chief says he was shot more than once. described as a person well known to police. >> the suspect is -- has a pretty significant record. >> all again when officers in the vicinity were helping with a stolen car. >> they can hear on the radio and then hear the person with the gun description, and, hey, there he is, and the chase is on. >> reporter: the officer

involved in the sheeting was not hurt. he'll be interviewed and placed on administrative leave while the incident is investigated. the chief says he's going to be holding a community meeting with the residents of the potrero hill project sometime next week to discuss the shooting. reporting live in san francisco, abc-7 news. >> ama: vallejo police are investigating a shooting. at 5:30 someone in a white car opened fire on a house. >> alan: a teenager who has been the subject of a amber alert for a week as turned herself in along with her boyfriend. the two surrendered to police in san diego county. ewan is in sorato disappeared from her home last saturday two men were found shot to death inside the home. her boyfriend, juan salazar, jr. is one of the suspect necessary double murder.

the higher peaks towards byron highway, livermore valley area, and we're also seeing all of the activity moving in towards the sierra, extending over towards the northwestern part of the state. in fact the warning is up until 11:00 a.m. for tomorrow, lightning strikes, dry fuel, and the air mass is dry, so a moisture is not reaching the grounds and the dry lightning strikes pose the problem. >> any showers tomorrow? the forecast is coming up. >> ama: in santa cruz county, sakes ache fer fire is under control but firefighters will remain on scene to make sure it does not re-ignite. we were over the scene. the fire raced through a recall area off bear creek road, threatening more than 200 homes. the beckers were ready to evacuate. they live just a mile from the fire. >> we could see flames and started thinking about what was

important and what wasn't, and started packing up our van. >> we got the computers, of course, decided to look for photographs that were hard copies and put the cats away so we could get them if we needed to. >> the beckers were about to leave but calfire controlled the fire at 12:30 today. >> alan: tonight, wildfire in shasta trinity national forest is 75% contained. burning near interstate 5 and hays charred almost a thousand acres. all road restrictions in the area were lifted. in southern california, 250-acre fire is 20% contained and in riverside county, 25050-acre fire is 90're contained and in million mouth county, wildfire burned more than nine square milesle. >> ama: in oklahoma, ten fires are burning right now, including one near oklahoma city that has

destroyed nearly 60 homes. here's the latest. >> reporter: and sure enough it was. the extreme conditions turned brush fires into fire storms across several county counties. at least 100 buildings burn to the ground. almost half of them homes. a daycare center was turned to ash. hundred owes vac waited in advance of the flames. >> when i left the fire was right at my back door. >> arson was suspected in this fire near she small central oklahoma town of luther. at daybreak. the oklahoma governor spoke to families who lost everything along dogwood street. imagine managers told her this year could bring one of the worst wildfire breakouts in the state's history. >> this has been a very, very tough situation, when it's over 110 degrees and huge flames and massive fires. >> reporter: this family saw the flames roaring toward them. daughter jessica snapped these shots of flames as their family aban doughed the homes. this family feels lucky they
