guests at a luxury hotel are taking a look at mother nature in action. these adorable baby barn owls hatched on a nest of the 11th floor balcony of a hotel and since then, the hotel has become owl central. they're making the best of the situation and giving out toy owls to guests and encouraging people to come around twilight to see if they'll be flying around the hotel. the spca says it's likely they'll come back year after year to the same nest. they're so cute. >> they don't look real. >> i know. i thought it was a paper cut out. it's a real owl. >> is it owl weather out there?

they're mourning tonight with his two brothers. captain matt manoukian's death devastated the kindner guarders corresponding with him. the kids had adopted him as a pen pal. >> yes. they had adopted a group of marines in iraq a while ago. captain manoukian was on his fourth tour and he was killed by an afghan police officer, the kind he was there to train. the marine captain is known to family and friends as a marine's marine in, afghanistan during this tour to train afghan police force froze vid training for their country. long time family friend has known matt and his family for the past 25 years. >> and after september 11th he became very committed to the notion of defending his country and assisting in its

protection and he joined the marine corps. he's a truly proud member of the marine corps. he has served, this was his fourth tour in afghanistan. >> the 29-year-old is the son of pete manoukian and both on the board of st. vincent day home, here children adopted a group of marines in iraq. the justice says she learned he was killed while having a meal with a group of afghan police officers yesterday. and the supreme court justice corrigan tells us the family is headed to delaware to wait for the captain's casket. he's also survived by two brothers, matthew and martin. >> such a loss, thank you. >> bart is experiencing system

wide delays now almost two hours after a man was truck by a train today. sky 7 hd flew overhead and there are residual delays of 30 minutes or more. and that is not welcome news for anyone trying to get home from work or headed into the city for the giant's game or music festival. police say they saw him walking and talking on the tracks before being struck by the train. >> there are three events that is now a live look at interstate 80 through downtown san francisco. there is that traffic going very, very slow. let's check out golden gate br
