tonight. lillian. >>reporter: this was a time ff's department the sheriff's dt got what they wanted. which was a peaceful surrender. the man who investigators say went on robbery spree in redwood city for the past week is now in their custody. video from sky 7 hd shows deputy taking 30-year-old miguel cab that the san m take 0county jail. soon after a stand off at his home ended peacefully. >> he kept on promising he would come in and out a few minute. he never did. lasted for a good hour, hour an half. eventually they cop convinced him to come out. >> theories actually been watching his home hours before they were able to talk with him using a bull horn. they say they had good reason to believe he was at this address afterg nm receiving numerous tips from the public. video that capture the s during a robbery aired on bay area news station. >> people identified the person what they saw in the video and then we took dmv photo and a compared the information we had with the video and it was a perfect match. so we knew

where he was residing. >>reporter: sheriff's department said the robbery spree began august 7. they say he targeted markets gas station and restaurant. and in one of the incidents even threatened to shoot a pregnant woman. after his surrender investigators search miguel house and left with a boxful of evidence. investigators say miguel has extensive criminal record mostly for narcotics and traffic violation. >> he was considered armed and dangerous so he was a threat to our community and we are glad he's taken into custody. >>reporter: sheriff's department says miguel cab is under arrest for 5 counts of armed robbery. live in redwood city, abc 7 news is that thank you. developing news tonight. several protestors have been arrested after occupying barack obama campaign headquarters in oakland. this is video from protestor on the scene. at least 5 people were arrested. all claims the former veteran scott olson injured in a protest in october was among the protestors. he left on his

>>reporter: we have been following this one parking supervisor for years as the lawsuit continue to pile up. assault. sexual harassment. restraining orders. but somehow he keeps his job. he writes tickets while the city writes checks. san francisco municipal transit authority parking supervisor is in court again. this time he's trying to get the court of appeal to lift a restraining order against him filed by a fellow parking officer who says he assaulted him in a rage in 201 2011. he's the supervisor. >>reporter: how does an employee gate restraining order against a manager in the department? by really want to hearde. he yr side. he isn't talking. but the court records speak for itself. audio file of the proceedings he plays the vichlt but the judge doesn't buy it. >> about they dislike me as sergeant for parking in traffic

and have been since 2005. >> that may not be the only reason they don't like you. >>reporter: the judge is blun blunt. >> people have testified that said off pattern of unpredic unpredictable violent behavior. >>reporter: court will rule on this in about a month. but the case is one of many. in february of 2008 surveillance camera outside a city tow lot show he follow a tow truck driver who dated his ex-wife. he attack hitting the driver with pepper spray, throwing him to the ground and breaking his wrist. he says it was self-defense. jury disagreed and ordered the city to pay the driver 64,000 dollars. the city cost to defend the case, additional 7 35,000. this officer sued for sexual harassment. >> when i said i wasn't interested he became upset. that's when the suspension and threat started happening. >>reporter: again the city paid out. settlement of of 12

supervisor says the city terminated her for speaking publicly about problems with this man in aneurysm team report last year where she appealed to the equal employment opportunity commission and won got her job back and associating a settlement with the city right now. what would it take for him to lose his job if mta director says he captain comment on personnel issues. but a tax pair can expect change in the department he took over last year. >> most of the people who work for the mta i think are good hard working honest people. we just need to make sure that we manage the entire work force so that more are that way and we manage up or manage out. >>reporter: there's another lawsuit now in federal court. filed by a limo driver who says george hit him with pepper spray and punched him in the head. city has spent about 1.2 million dollars defending and settling the cases. we let you know what happens next. i have a follow-up on another i team
