this is as detectives make a quick arrest in one of the city's latest murders. police arrested a 27-year-old michael howard in his home accused of homicide in the death of juan mun yoz. paramedics found munoz outside of a store. >> they realized he was vaim of a crime suffering from a stab wound. >> he was the 31 person killed in san jose in 2012 in a year that has seen four more murders in a city. an arrest may be some criticism hurled at the chief by assembly woman campos thchl week, she panned of a letter to step in to help police. a department she calls overcharged. but cops say officers have different roles and city police and any help could have to be tightly coordinated. >> they've been used successfully to assist in

damaged church just before noon yesterday. officials now believe the fire started accidentally and there is no word on what it will cost to repair damage. >> west nile concerns growing in the east bay tonight after health officials determined a dead bird nound a school yard has the west nile virus. the infection comes from two types of mosquitoes so vector and mosquito control put insects under the microscope for testing. they're now spraying to kill some mosquito autos another threat, one that is not deadly is under attack in palo alto. santa clara county vector control is taking a step of aerial spraying.
