is covered by this spot. here is a track that is a tropical storm again, but a powerful one, maximum winds, 70 miles per hour. it's moving slowly towards the northwest at six miles per hour. and we expect it to follow this path northward for the first day of or so, then going to turn and go along the mississippi valley over several states and missouri and illinois. by sunday afternoon, it will be a significant storm, dumping heavy rainfall. and i will continue to watch this storm and report more information and happening now, at sfo another red cross volunteer is getting on a plane head together gulf coast. and this is to help victims of eyesin. >> there is everything from feeding to cleaning.

>> mary is leaving her husband, son and job to spend the next two weeks in tex and louisiana. and she's among the 62 volunteers the bay area red cross chapter deployed to the region. isaac is now a tropical storm this is displacing thousands. the red cross opened 80 shelters in six states, and they're depending on trained disaster volunteers like mary to help them weather the storm. >> and there is new information on today's high speed police chase across several freeways that began in vallejo on interstate 780. the driver reached speeds of up to 110 miles per hour before stopping the car at the junction and making a run for it two. men arrested as you can see and there is a live report from nick smith. >> there are two robbery suspects who allegedly beat a

gas station attendant this morning. police say the two men wearing hoodies went into the arco gas station and hit the clerk in the face and stole several packs of cigarettes. police want the public to help identify the suspects. >> happening now in san francisco visitation valley, clean up and repairs continue to the water pipe and residents of 14 homes are allowed to return and they're allowed to drive cars out and across a road they have to walk in and out after that. it would be a week before the sink hole is filled in. and it's expected to reopen on tuesday. clean up crews have work cut out to them to make that happen. the cause of the rupture is still under investigation. the p.u.c. says it's first priority is getting a temporary cover on that large hole in the middle of the street.

there is breaking news in los angeles. a car plowed into a group of
