good morning it is thursday august 30th, we thank you for starting your day . i'm eric thomas. and i'm kristen sze. right now let's begin breaking news. the first confirmed death causedded by isaac. a tow truck driver died when he was struck by a fallen tree in picayune, mississippi the storm packed sustained winds of 45 miles per hour as it moved over southern louisiana, heavy rain threatens to flood low-lying areas through tomorrow in mississippi, alabama and arkansas. isaac bypassed new orleans and the levees wednesday but flooded areas north and south of the city where people had to be rescued. a of rain and flooding involved with that mike has been following isaac. good morning. nine reports of tornadoes out

trying to salvage what they can. this started at 4:45 this morning this is the capital commercial center on south capital expressway in san jose. fires got the call from the alarm company when they got here they saw smoke it looked like it was coming from the attic above the mexican restaurant they ripped open the roof, put the fire out quickly. then they saw a couple other spots where they believe some fire was burning. what happened was, this building has a shared attic space and they believe maybe because of the sprinkler system dousing the place with water but the electricity is you have fire. a couple lightning strikes inside the building, a couple spots of fire all within the attic they got it out okay. you can imagine so much smoke, water, culled into the

happened downtown last week. second happened here on orchard lane between neiman marcus on that side and crate and barrel and nordstroms here. it happened in broad daylight yesterday. they believe the assaults were although in different locations perpetrated possibly by the same person. take a look at the sketch, described as east indian man, 30, 5'9 with a medium build. yesterday he was wearing a yellow hooded sweatshirt the hood was up. take a look at the shopping center this happened about noon a man steps out from between two parked cars in front of a woman, grabbed her breasts over her clothing and took off. he was spotted in a parking lot, police spoken -- police responded quickly, were unable to locate the man the victim called 911. the first attack happened last week downtown, similar

country on an expired passport. katie marzullo is in our breaking news center with the story itch >> reporter: we expect to takeoff our shoes and put liquides in a plastic bag, pass through a full body scanner at sfo, a woman said she cleared security with a passport that expired a year ago. vicki albright took off from san francisco for a european vacation and says she didn't realize her passport expired in august of 2011. neither did the ticket agent at united airlines or multiple tsa agents as she passed through security. customs agent in germany stamped her passport, no questions asked. albright realized her mistake in italy and went to the u.s. consulate. officials there were as surprised as she was. >> first they said, well, you know you shouldn't travel if your passport is going to expire within the next six months. i said it expired last year.
