northbound at 101 at cesar chavez accident on the off-ramp headed into san francisco. metering lights just turned on at the bay bridge toll plaza. we are following a developing story in the north bay now where we begin. haz-mat team on scene at a cotati pool service business tells us they've found no evidence of a chemical spill or leak but there maybe an equipment problem inside. an alarm started going off at the north bay pool service 1:30 this morning. police arrived and smelled a chemical odor crews had been unable to find any chemical leak. a battalion chief told us there may be a problem with the secondary containment system inside. this is north bay pool service crews tell us they are trying to get hold of the owner to find out more they've been having a hard time doing that the big news is no danger to

the community. peninsula assemblyman hill will gather with the mayor and residents of san bruno today to provide an update on what has been done two years after the deadly explosion. sunday will mark the two year anniversary that killed eight and destroyed 38 homes. eight of those homes rebuilt and permits issued for more than a dozen other homes. hill will speak about what still needs to be done to ensure pop line safety. also a -- pipeline safety. also a court is expected to hear several motions over a class action suit over the explosion. the democratic convention gets underway in charlotte, north carolina today. the delegates will get down to business and vote to adopt a platform that reflects the president's argument his work is unfinished and der s another four years. the platform includes a call for higher taxes on wealthier americans backing same-sex marriage and rights.

-- and abortion rights. the first lady will close out with a primetime speech. san francisco public utilities commission offers two million dollars if public assistance each year to low income families an audit matched 473 addresses to address records for city workers public utilities spokesman says city workers average $90 three,000 a year in salary. -- $93,000 a year in salary. the chief told us there may be a problem with secondary system inside they are trying to get the owner to find out more. developing news from unincorporated hayward in alameda county, deputies on the scene investigating a deadly drive-by shooting around 9:30 last night in the 400 block of bartlett near garden. 20-year-old from hayward found dead at the scene. no word from investigators on identity or whether they have suspects. later today a foster city man will make his first court appearance to face felony burglary and sexual battery charges. the 18-year-old was arrested after he broke into a neighbor's home last week and peeped on an underage girl the father caught him on his hands and knees hiding in the bedroom. the father held him until police got there he confessed to breaking into another neighbor's bedroom on that
