san francisco exploratorium announced a goal for its new museum, producing as much power as it uses.

that will be tough because of the sheer size of the building. 230,000 square feet. and project engineers think they can make it happen z i got a behind the scenes tour now turning into real life. since it opened in 1969 this museum has been known for innovation. it's on full display in the design of the new home. a historic pier now undergoing an overhall. here is a scene there is a building that could let up a lot of power so, there is net zero energy. >> this is part research and part evangelical. you know? getting people to get excited about it. this is sheer determination. >> meaning it will create as much energy as it uses coming from this huge field of solar
