5:01. good morning thanks for joining us i'm kristen sze. and i'm eric thomas. san francisco police investigating a street fight that left one man hospitalized in critical condition. police responded to reports of a hit and run around 2 a.m. and found the man unresponsive on valencia street. the man was not injured in a traffic accident rather a street fight involving several people. one block stretch was shutdown between 16th and 17th for two hours. they reopened 4:00 this morning. giants flying to st. louis to fight for the pennant. series is tied up after huge win last night at at&t park

city, san jose 56, 57 in napa. we are looking warmer than average day. we are on our way to possibly records tomorrow and thursday. two degrees of warming in redwood city since yesterday, 16 in antioch, 10° warmer in santa rosa, a little patchy coastal fog mild to warm numbers from two to four degrees and warm to hot tomorrow and thursday as offshore flow kicks in. a lot of rain in the pacific northwest that continues today with frontal band continues to weaken as it slides east and once it pushes east, high pressure expanding that is the mechanism that will allow for the drier weather, lower relative humidity and gusty north to northeast winds that should get going later tonight into tomorrow. the combination of those two things allows for heightened fire danger around the bay area.

lot of early morning gymgoers be turned away the security guard out front telling them the gym is going to be closed for the entire day, all day. the fire department tells me they only had to evacuate the gym for two hours and there was no damage done inside. look at the video, the fire was next door at restaurant supply the fire department got the call 12:30 when use arrived they found a full fire inside along with a lot of stuff that. is what made this firefight so dangerous. >> there was only one access from the front side which is not terribly uncommon for a commercial building but dangerous for firefighters. with the amount of material inside and the way it is stacked up we take extra precaution. >> reporter: another precaution the fire department doubled the number of crewmembers that are there by law only to rescue

firefighters should there be trouble inside normally that's three this morning for in fire it was a crew of six. fortunately, no firefighters were hurt fighting this fire. the cause is still not known. the fire chief tells me it does not appear to be suspicious. katie marzullo, abc7 news. 5:33. federal agencies continue to look for the pilot and experimental plane that took off from half moon bay 24 hours ago that flight was headed for tucson, arizona but did not show up for a fuel stop. the pilot's wife reported the plane missing, light single engine, tail number: n 72 ah. officials at half moon bay confirm the plane is not on the property and the faa ordered a search of every airport in a 50 mile radius. the registered owner is a man from florida it is not clear if he was flying the plane. police in the north bay searching for whoever shot a man in a busy apartment

complex last night. santa rosa police were called to redwood park apartments around 9:00 after they go a report of shooting. when officers arrived they found a man with a gunshot wound to the stomach he was taken to the hospital, his condition not known. police say they were searching for a 2012 jeep. new this morning, family of an oakland man killed by police earlier this year is expected to hold a news conference later today. the parents of 18-year-old alan blue ford and their attorneys will talk about a decision not to charge the officer after the shooting. the d.a.'s office said last week the officer was within in his legal rights to shoot blueford during a police chase in may. community members call the shooting unjustified. it was a big night for the
