reminding voters that romney called half of the country victims who refused personal responsibility. opportunity to explain. the debate was over. advantage obama jie. and there is still one more debate to come on that. it will be closely watched. twitter lit up. they released the most tweeted moments. a question about immigration drew 109,000 tweets per minute when the president told romney you are the last to get tough on china. and mitt romney's response to a tax rate question generated 107,000 tweets per minute. twitter said there were 7.2 million tweets during the town hall debate. that's compared to 10 million during the first debate. while some tweeted others discussed the debate face-to-face. alan wang has two parties, one republican and one democrat.

the school district confirms the case. county health officials say the incident is not tied to the national fungal meningitis outbreak that has claimed the lives of 15 people in 15 states. for the second time in weeks a train has struck. it happened around 8:00 in madera. they managed to get out before the train struck. no one on the train was injured. the same thing happened on friday less than a mile north on those very same tracks. san francisco police are on the lookout for a vandal who has damned more than two dozen vehicles. they released a sketch of the vandal tonight. police believe this man has scratched or broken the windows of 30 cars. it started in august in the mission and dolores heights hill the morgan hill mother accused of abandoning her daughter at a grocery store says the whole thing was a misunderstanding. in an exclusive interview with our media partner marcy keelan denies ditching her

sailing team. the 72-foot catamaran for next year's cup race capsized today. they captured these pictures valued at $8 million to $10 million after it flipped over near the golden gate bridge resulting in extensive damage. team members are still working to tow it back to pier80 in san francisco. that's where lisa amin gulezian is live for us. lisa? >> carolyn, we are talking about a very, very expensive yacht. the first broken piece of the yacht arrived here at pier80 about an hour and a half ago. >> the two bows dug into the water and it rolled over itself. >> it came crashing down this afternoon the 72-foot long boat was on its eighth training exercise when rough seas and strong wind caused the boat to topple over and capsize. >> it was pretty scary, i guess. it was a surreal feeling.

golden gate bridge. it is moving less than a mile an hourment the team expected to arrive here at pier80, in three or four more hours. live in san francisco tonight, lisa amin gulezian, abc7 news. >> a very long night. thank you, lisa. tonight investigators are trying to determine if a plane found near half moon bay is the same that disappeared. it was found on a bluff about 400 yards from half moon bay airport. the plane and a body inside were burned so badly that investigators are having a hard time confirming their identity. the missing plane took off from half moon bay airport last night. it never arrived at its final destination in arizona. san francisco is a finalist to host the superbowl 2016 or 2017. the pitch is to play the game at the new niners stadium being built. most of the big events would take place in san francisco. nfl owners will award the 2016 super bowl to san francisco or

for the ballgame. i want to show you a time lapse from earlier tonight. this was the waxing crescent moon as we look back toward san francisco and coit tower from our high definition camera. let's check out live doppler 7hd and the skies were so clear that we were able to capture that moon. as we look at live doppler 7hd, there is no fog to be found tonight, and that means tomorrow morning you will start out fog free. temperatures at this hour, most areas are in the 60s and the 70s. so it is pretty warm. san jose 59 and half moon bay is down to 50 degrees. here is the forecast. clear and mild overnight. warm to hot to the next two days . we are looking at a cooling pattern next week. let's talk about the immediate forecast. high pressure will move inland. when it does the wind will shift. there will be more wind coming from the land and blowing toward the ocean. that will bring the warm air toward the coastline.

if looks like good news for the giants. it appears that scootero will be able to play in game three of the championship series. he ran some sprints today in st. louis, and he hit some batting practice. it was a normal day leading up to the game. last night was not normal. he was wiped out by matt holliday. he was overly aggressive. he suffered a hip injury. he said it felt like he was hit by a train. bruce bochy is hoping that he can go in game three though. they have to wait and see how his hip feels tomorrow. >> he is day-to-day. we are being hopeful he can go. the mri did show a left hip strain and contusion. his left knee is sore. we will know where he is at tomorrow. >> he did a great job at being
