consumer group will file a formal letter of protest against what they are calling a backroom deal between the pg&e and puc. the group says the state puc chose mitchell without input or consent from any of the parties except pg&e. this morning amtrak investigating another collision between a train and vehicle in the central valley. it happened after 8:00 last night, as the train left the station platform in ma dare . the people in the vehicle managed to get out before the train hit it. no word on how this accident happened. the same thing happened friday less than a mile north on the same tracks last week. good news for giants' fans looks like second baseman scutaro will be able to play this afternoon.
