and cold we'll tell you through is affecting your traffic and maybe your flights. i'm eric thomas. thanks for joining us. and i'm kristen sze. maybe farther south you are possibly just a little bit of a mist and drizzle, definitely around the bay especially into the north bay you are going to have wet weather ponding on the roads, slick streets everything out there were' talking about a lot of accidents sue is following. -- already a third to half inch of rain fell while we were sleeping during the overnight hours. right now the storms themselves are moving more from a southwest to northeast trajectory in the warm sector of the storm. as the cold front starts to pull in, back edge going to start pushing more precipitation shield through the heart of the bay into the south bay through the morning commute into the early morning

those on cars in the frontyard they encountered two naked men, one was shot to death after he placed a rifle into an officer's stomach. the two men were a couple who restored old mercedes. >> they were great, they were here for a little over two years, took care of the house. had no complaints. took care of the yard. paid rent on time, normal people. >> the men also set the house on fire. police believe the two were under the influence of some kind of drug. three pets were found slaughtered in the backyard. sonoma county homicide detectives are hoping someone will call them with clues to the identity of woman whose body was found in guerneville yesterday morning lying face down under a foot bridge. the victim is believed to be in her 30s. union square is open after a suspicious package forced partial closure last night.

someone reported seeing the package in a parking garage. police closed two streets on either side of the garage. a member of the bomb squad put on his gear, went into the garage and rendered the package harmless. the square roped around 9:00. church of the good shepard boarded up after fire damaged the building saturday. workers put plywood on windows and door of the church before the rain started coming down last night. repair work is expected to start soon. fire damaged and charred religious articles that were removed, the home next door is being used as chapel. >> we keep building this is just the beginning. church has been around 2,000 years stuff like this happens we keep moving on this church is 134-years-old, --

drizzling ever so slightly, still something to look out for during this morning commute. we have video from an hour ago, 880 at 980 caltrans crews were clearing a drain that caused three feet of standing water that was a dangerous situation for drivers. they did clear that drain the water is now just inches it should be much better for drivers. again, be cautious today. 880 at buchanan and broadway caltrans reported standing water. not telling you anything you don't know. drive slowly, maybe plan ahead to leave the house earlier. i left my house earlier than usual for my 3:00 call-time at the station this morning. kira klapper, abc7 news. giants will try to pull off another baseball miracle tonight when they host the cardinals in game 7. a win will propel us into the

after a letter was sent to parents alerting them to a so-called fantasy slut league. it explains in which female students are drafted as part of the league. notice goes on to say male students earned points for documented engagement in sexual activities with female students. school staff learned about this during a recent assembly about date rape prevention. officials learned it has been going on five or six years the school is planning assemblies with lessons about preventing this in the future. in pittsburg police investigating fatal shooting at buchanan and railroad avenue. police were called last night 9:30 and found the shooting victim on the sidewalk the man died at the scene despite cpr efforts. the area was closed off for the investigation. we'll bring more information

believe and sad. santa clara authorities reviewing a brawl that broke out during halftime of yesterday's soccer match between the quakes and galaxy. when the second half started viewers had no idea what happened in the stands. spectators saw fans fighting and smoke bombs going off, the brawl involved rival fans for the galaxy and earthquakes. >> yelling and screaming, i looked back and i just saw pushing, shoving, big wild group out of control. >> it took nearly two dozen police officers from three cities to break things up. some fans were swinging at officers. at least one smoke bomb was thrown. according to the mercury news 100 fans were ejected from the stadium. police made seven arrests. 5:50. a little rain would have cooled things down.
