hosting a concert when a disturbance inside spilled into the ing lot things escalated and there was -- gunfire, two taken to the hospital with nonlife-threatening injuries. terry mcsweeney will have a live report in 30 minutes. happening now, black friday underway and shoppers are flocking to the bay area's newest shopping center which opened a couple weeks ago, paragon outlets in livermore off 580 and el charro that's where we find katie marzullo and a lot of shoppers this morning. >> reporter: so many shoppers, just a sea of shoppers, i just talked with assistant general manager he says this is a low point considering when these outlets opened and how long they will go. sky 7 hd above the outlets now, you can see for yourself what the parking lot and shoppers and what the stores look like.

again, for all the people and everything you are seeing now, imagine this, it is just a lull, the stores open at 10 p.m., it was packed last night and the assistant general manager thinks it will be packed again as the sun comes up. he says since they just opened, they just had their grand opening that turned out to be good practice for black friday. he says when they opened they saw 400,000 people over the first four days. >> we saw there was maybe a need for some auxillary restrooms and watching how the traffic flowed and parking moved we want odd to take advantage of such a fresh experience and made sure we made improvements, we kept everything working as well as we can. oar -- >> reporter: i can't -- they can't guess how many they will see but he can estimate they will probably end up parking somewhere between 30 and 35,000 cars over 24 hours.

developing news out of the north bay. san rafael police investigating double shooting near a nightclub before 1:00 this morning at club 101 on west francisco and anderson drive, near highway 101 where we find terry mcsweeney with what police are saying about this overnight violence. >> reporter: abc7 news first on the scene. here we are six hours after the shooting and san rafael police and csi unit still on the scene. the shooting took place in this parking lot across the street from me, marked off with crime tape, place say they are not in a hurry they will wait for the sun to come up to see how many bullet holes there are. look at the scene last night, 12:30 according to police, there was a concert going on, rap concert at the club 101, a fight inside spilled out into the parking lot, about 100 people all told at that

concert. people started pulling out gunses, couple people got shot, wound -- wounds described as nonlife-threatening, two people are detained. the crowd was cordoned off quickly because of the number of law enforcement agencies in the area. >> mutual aid, assisted by the marin sheriff's department, twin cities, novato, we were able to lock down the entire parking lot, fortunate enough there is only a few areas of egress out of the parking lot we were able to lock it down quickly and identify most of the people we don't believe many people would have gotten out, after the shooting. >> reporter: the two victims taken to marin general, nonlife-threatening injuries, two people detained an arrests on -- arrested on other charges. in the parking lot here in january of 2008 there was another shooting that was a homicide. here we are about five years

later, another shooting out here. cars in there kept in there, some drivers still waiting to get their vehicles. police say they are not in any rush waiting for the sun to come up to see how many bullet holes there are so they can further process the scene. terry mcsweeney, abc7 news. 6:33. san jose firefighter is hospitalized and at least 10 people are homeless after a fire swept through their apartment building last night it happened before 8:00 at a kimberly woods apartment complex on willow leaf drive off the southwest expressway. two units were destroyed, two other units are off-limits due to water damage and no electricity. one family member says a neighbor pounded on their door allowing them to get out safely. >> my daughter is sad, -- [ inaudible ]
