protesters are angry because the court aquisted 7 of 9 police officials were won file for their alleged role in a dealedly stadium riot last year. the other two officers were convicted and extensioned to 15 years in prison. the court also confirmed the death sentences of 21 civilians involved in the riot which left 74 people dead. after a couple years of cutting back, san jose's mayor is ready to buy up public safety again. two years ago they were facing a short off and laid off some employees and gave others a 10% pay cut. finances have improved and the mayors says he wants to spend the bulk of the money on police. >> we need town crease the capacity of the police department, we need to be more aggressive about recruitsing, hiring and training, and we need to get more officers on the street. those are things we will be able to do because we have extra money to spend this year. >> the police and fire unions

were the most vocal in opposing the cuts two years ago. the police union issued a statement in a reads, in part, we were expecting to hear bold leadership from the mayor but instead we heard a women per. starting monday as the minimum wage workers are getting a two dollars an hour increase in race. they claim it will hope both business own speakers employees. here's business and technology reporter david loui. >> the boss hasn't said anything yet but he will get a pay rise next week. he works 40 hours a week while in college. the minimum wage about go up two dollars a week for an extra $80 a week. the money will come in handy. >> school, food supplies, try to buy a car. that's always hard. >> but other minimum wage edgers are leading the warning about looking about the gift horse in the mouth. >> it will be nice to be the extra but it will be interesting to see how it pans out with the extra two dollars.

sunrise a little bit later at 7:28. so 24 hours ago, believe it or not, we were a little built milder. it is six degrees cold this morning in oakland and it's colder in hayward, livermore and concord and with the sun not coming up another hour and a half or so the numbers will continue to droop. but we will go from our chilly morning to a much warmer average. high pressure sitting off the coast will begin to build on in in the upper levels of the atmosphere and that will bring drying and a warmer weekend. so if you thought yesterday was cool, you are right. we still are a few showers lingering san diego. palm springs -- las vegas picked up some. as the low moves into arizona it moves outs. as a result with the high pressure building in, we are up to 70 in sacramento today. still have 50s at the coast and back home we will look for plenty of 60s here. a dramatic warmup. 67 san jose. 71 in stanley crews. look at the 60s on the

remote access. >> all told, the call last the almost an hour. when the man said the computer had no virus protection, lee got suspicious. quietly linda contacted their personal computer technician, who spotted the fraud right away. >> he said it's a scam, scam, scam. sooner or later a money number is going to be presented to him to take away problems. >> that's exactly what happened. >> the fellow insisted, well, here's what we are going to do. we are going to clean out this and that is reinstall all for the price of 170-some odd dollars. >> linda pushed a note in front of his face saying hang up. it was a little too late. >> the spyware then planted and the eye in the sky was observing. >> their technician later found malware had been installed during that call. the imposter could see lee's bank information and e-mails. it cost him $90 to clean out the bugs, but it could have been
