firefighters are still mopping up but it is now mostly quiet. this is not extensive damage from the outside. this is what it looked like when novato firefighters arrived overnight with investigators saying someone called 9-1-1 around 1:30 to report a fire, with crews going inside and found an extensive marijuana growing operation. abc7 news reporter is on the scene with a live update coming up in the next half hour. >> developing news, police are launching a formal investigation after a former pre-school teacher revealed she tied up a two-year old girl. our news reporter is live at center point christian pre-school. >> the administration does not know what the teacher was thinking. they are upset as the parents. the teacher admitted she tied up a two-year old girl because the girl refused to take a nap. the teacher showed pictures of the girl, showed her taped at

the wrists and the ankles, and the teacher showed this to colleagues and even the girl's mother at a social gathering. the school reacted strongly. >> the child deserves to be in any way treated in such a way they would be dehumanized in anyway. this incident, in our opinion, does exactly that. we are horrified by it and weject it. >> the school administration self reported the incident to the department of social services and sent a detailed letter to all of the parents and schedule add meeting with parent s for tuesday night and plan to close down for five days to retrain the staff. that teacher, however, no longer works here. >> thanks. 4:34. san francisco police are trying to figure out if a hit-and-run accident left an injured man lying in the street. he was found last night at 11:0 p.m. he was taken to the hospital

with serious injuries and police are hoping that anyone who knows what happened will come forward. >> in santa rosa, two men arrested for triple homicide near forestville face arraignment. the 38-year-old and 46-year-old men both from colorado are accused of murder, burglary, and conspiracy. the father of one is also in custody. the three victims were found shot to death in a home last month. sonoma sheriff say the suspects and victims were pot dealers or buyers. >> there are calls from a peninsula congresswoman for hearings into a troubling rape case involving santa cruz cop killer goulet. she wants it know why two rape cases against goulet while in the army were dropped in change for accepting less than honorable discharge saying he could have been in jail rather than preying on women and

sunny and warmer temperatures. where the cloud cover starting this morning, less clouds, mild tonight and cooler by the weekend. we have the same area of high pressure dominating our weather with quite a storm track on the west side of that but with the clockwise flow we are going to continue to see the storms head up toward seattle and portland where they are not abnormally dry this winter like we are. the warming trend continues with the high pressure and we are trapping a little bit of moisture in lower levels but by 10:00 or 11:00 it is gone and mid-to-upper 70's in the south bay with santa clara and house around 44. low-to-mid 70's on the peninsula and millbrae is 67. the coast is stubborn with a light wind keeping you cooler. downtown is 71 but the sun will set and it will be 58. mid-70's through the north bay and upper 50's at your beaches.

low 70's along the east bay shore but check out low-to-upper 70's in the east bay valley. tonight, it will be mild, and mid-40's to low 50's in most neighborhoods and fog along the coast. the seven-day outlook shows nearly 80 in a few areas, near records and 70's hang around for the better part of the weekend away from the coast. >> to the san mateo bridge, now, if you are traveling from hayward to the foster city area you can see it is hazy here and visibility is not so bad but fog could be a factor. now, the road work out there will go -- a fire is visible off the freeway 238 right at 880 so you may find slow travel at the castro city valley and the south bay north 280, the ramp is shut down because of road work for another 15 minutes. we do have a report of an

accident with injuries involved and this is in st. helena, highway 29 at white hall lane, possible delay there, as well as we get further information c.h.p. is headed to the scene there. kristen and eric? >> the pentagon is investigating the cause of a helicopter crash that killed five u.s. troops in afghanistan. the military says that clear went -- that the chopper went down yesterday. a spokesman says there was no enemy activity in the area at the time it went down. >> growing list of congressional leaders want the pentagon to reconsider a new medal created for cyber warriors and drone pilots. the two top members of the senate armed services committee the latest to ask the pentagon to lower the rank of the distinguished warfare medal which ranks ahead of the bronze star and purple heart in importance. the senators say the medal sends the wrong message to soldier whose served in actual combat. >> two workers at a southern california company that launched spacecraft for the u.s. government are involving from an
