justices heard arguments in california's same-sex marriage debate. the court released audio just hours after it ended. to let anyone interested in it listen to questions and answers on both sides. >> would you have thought a lot of people would be glued and listening to this hearing. leanne? >> yes. you know i think because there is a lot of people deciding to just read about it in the newspapers and and we did find people here that dove right in. >> as soon as bailey got off work she salt sath down to listen to the supreme court justices raise questions about proposition 8. >> this is something that you know, everyone is following. i've been seeing on the interknit and twitter, people

including roberts and ginzberg grilled both attorneys as to whether parties presenting arguments in favor of proposition 8 should have legal standings, eligibility to be in court. >> is there predicted value? any questions heard today? >> it's always difficult to try to read tea leaves with the court. one thing that appears certain is that it's going to be hard for there to be five votes for any position seemed like all positions were highly contested. if there is one position that started to have perhaps four or five justices it's likely the position courts should not be hearing this case. >> people don't have the legal stand something. >> right. >> what about doma? >> so it presents common, but different questions about federal law. how marriage is defined for federal benefits. also has a standing question in it so i think we're going

a hiker in riverside spent several days trapped between two boulders. >> he ows a rescue to a dog, mole. mole pulled him off the trail towards big rocks. he found a man stuck between boeld boulders. >> the hiker said he'd been trapped four to six days. after giving the man water ramos found others to call rescue workers. >> authorities say the section of the mountain is not well traveled. the stranded hiker is in good condition but after several days like that, he's lucky. >> no kidding. >> punxsutawney fill is off the hook. >> good news.
