korean military drills and sanctions by the un for north korean nuclear testing. >> deadly magnitude 6.1 earthquake shook taiwan today. you can see school children running out of classrooms in this video that. is not what the red cross recommends. officials say epicenter of the quake is about 150 miles south of the alcohol city of taipei near the center of a 199 quake that killed more than 2300 people. a 72-year-old woman die today when a temple wall collapsed on her. this woman is one of those hurt. amazingly officials say no buildings have collapsed. some are damaged. american red cross says remember drop, cover, hold on. drop to the ground away from windows and glass. if you can, get under heavy furniture, cover your head and neck with your arms, hold on

until the shaking stops. before the earthquake you need to prepare yourself and family. the red cross says choose two emergency locations to meet loved ones. one near your home, and another outside of your neighborhood in case your area is off limits. you should choose an emergency contact. that needs to be someone outside of the bay area. local phone lines probably will be jammed after a big earthquake. might be easier to call out of state. these are just a couple red cross's tips. we have more information on preparing for an earthquake or other has yards at abc 7 news.com. >> nearly two dozen homes have been evacuated after a landslide in northern washington state that damaged one home on whidbey island. the slide took out a road, cutting off 16 homes, 10 people had to be evacuated by boat.

there is no other way to reach them. another 17 homes are being threatened by the slide. it continues to move. many of the homes are summer cabins or weekend getaways that were empty. still not clear what caused this slide no. reports of serious injuries. >> we're following breaking news now in san francisco. we have lividdo from the glenn park bart station. we don't have any details yet on that person's condition. it does appear serious. this is causing system wide delays. bart tells us trains are not stopping at glenn park while investigations are underway. >> documents about the 2011 tucson shooting rampage shed new light on the gunman. six people were killed and 18 others injured including former congress woman gabby

giffords. the shooter's parents say they had to tick a shotgun away from their son after he was kicked out of community college. he made a statement about abortion so disturbing place were called into the classroom. on the day of the shooting he was pulled over by a traffic violation. he cried and said i've just had a rough time. he is serving life in prison. >> attorneys for colorado shooting suspect james holmes say they're client will plead guilty to enable holmes to escape the death penalty. he was in court last week to have a not guilty plea entered on behalf of him by the judge. >> still ahead at 4:00 bus driver's close call. what he did to save people onloordz after this happened to him.

chains with more than 20 locations to list counts on their menus are stalled. many restaurants are giving out information. consumer reports wanted to see if restaurant goers are getting a good kountd. -- count. this tv commercial for olive guardian touts lower calorie dishes. and many restaurants list nutritional information on web sites. consumer reports wanted to know how accurate it is. >> 12 menu offerings comparing their nutritional claims with reality. >> this includes restaurants like i hop, mcdonalds. consumer reports bought food from pasta to french fries. back in the labs testers ground the food to analyze it for calories and fat.

most were correct but not all of the offerings tested for olive garden and out back steak house measured up. outback grilled chicken on the barbie claimed seven grams of fat but contained as much as 13 grams and olive garden's las sanna had 32 grams. >> we're glad to see most of the information is correct. if you're ordering grilled chicken you might not be getting a lower calorie meal. >> when you're checking a menu watch out for words like batter, creamy, crispy or stopped. those signal fattening. we contacted olive garden

about the discrepancy. and said at olive garden we take care to provide information that is accurate using a rigorous process. there was an error with our nutritional test being with grilled chicken last october. we've retested this dish and information was not updated everywhere, one page of our site still contained old nutritional data. we've corrected this, too. because of the vairibility, nutrition analysis methodologies and hand crafted nature of restaurant food preparation, reality is that nutrition analysis is not an exact science. and outback steak house says
