the first thing i thought of was my children. >> she found her 10-year-old granddaughter, nalah running to her for help and frightened and complaining of a burning feeling. >> she was grazed on the shoulder on the right side. >> nalah and her sister were playing in the yard. >> we were here on our own property. they were not outside the gate. they were right here where they were supposed to be. >> she said a bullet or something the bullet hit grazed her granddaughter. police will only say multiple shots were fired and identified what hit nalah is part of the investigation. >> from there it is like, trying to comfort her and anything and was there anybody out there that saw it? >> sharon shared this video. paramedics arrived shortly after she called thine-1-1. 9-1-1. you can see the girl's skin is broken and irritated by whatever it was that hit her. >> i did take precautions precautions and made sure it is nothing fractured. >> nalah was taken to children's hospital in oakland

for further examination. >> i hate that innocent people get hurt. >> all of this is on the heels of a one-year-old boy in richmond being hit in the neck by a bullet. both are expected to survive their injuries. police tell me that the entire situation is still under children's hospital in oakland, nick smith, abc7 news. you. >> nick, thank you. and i do have more on the one-year-old boy who was shot in the neck in richmond. he is back home tonight. the child was on the couch of his grandparents' home when bullets went through the window. one struck the baby and is the family told us they are moving out of richmond's iron triangle. the inend it -- intended target was a man on a bicycle who was also shot, but expected to survive. the people killed in the fiery crash on interstate 80 in davis were from petaluma. a big rig driver said he choked on his food and passed out and then hit three cars with deadly consequences.embered the couple was remembered tonight by a north bay buddhist community where they

can see the dogs are fine. a 19-year-old giant fan from millbrae was arrested last night after witnesses say they saw him stomp on a man's head during a fight in willie may's plaza. this happened after after the a-giants game at at&t park. he was booked on suspicion of assault and other violations. sometime during the game this scuffle broke out amen two men grappled a woman came and got her shots in. we are learning more about how a college student who lied about being raped suffered beating injuries. 20-year-old morgan claimed she was raped last month in this area on a campus. she placed an ad on craigs list for somebody to shoot her in the arm. then she posted another ad looking for somebody to punch her in exchange for sex. she pleaded not guilty for faking a false police report. she was ordered to continue mental health counseling.

bomber. hitting a bomber. that after the u.s. flew the bomber over the area to show force. they say the north may be preparing for another missal test. and good news for people with type 2 diabetes. the food and drug administration has approved a first in a new class of drugs to help the condition. they use the method to lower blood sugar in adults by flushing it out in the patient's urine. the medication prevents the kidneys from reabsorbing sugar. and new at 11:00, a highway rescue unlike any you might imagine. in central oregon last weekend, a flat bed truck rolled on its side with an over sized load of bee hives. an estimated half a billion honey bees were spread out on highway 97. most of them were still in one of the 200 boxes housing colonies. local bee keepers responded to help with the rescue. it took about 12 hours to clean up all of the bees. each hive had to be checked to make sure it had a queen. the driver of the truck was not injured, but he was given

you're working towards and for me that helps a lot more than actually like a weight goal. especially when i was at a higher weight i wasn't sure what it looked like or how, where i can go and so it was so important to be able to set something that i knew i could physically see, grasp, understand and train for. right. so you know that one year from this time we're going to do this hike? absolutely. she was definitely on her way to living big. is rubina ready to climb these hills today? we're going to find out, but first i want to show you how rubina's live big adventure started. six months ago i met rubina for lunch and gave her a crash coure in calorie counting. th that's the biggest challenge for me. i have a very difficult time. i don't get it. i don't know how to do calorie counting. do you know how many calories equals a pound? no. how long have you been fighting and battling with your weight? since i was a kid. at the age of 12 rubina started dieting but the numbers on the scale kept going higher and higher and higher.

for me my crutch has always been food. by high school rubina weighed over 200 pounds and today her struggle continues. when i went to her home she had trouble standing in her kitchen. at 386 pounds rubina had a long road ahead of her. hey rubina, but she accepted my offer to live big and off we went. okay so what we're going to do is we're going to just get you started really light. we're going to start you out at 5. there you go. can you feel that one? oh yeah. we got to get mobilities like back into you. absolutely you need to know i'm willing to try whatever i have to do. i feel like i'm in a prison. i feel like i'm in a prison and i can't get out. i've been it for years, since i was a child and i'm so sick of it. so you're ready to do something about it? i am ready to do something about it that's why i'm here.
