they say jacob was not part of any gang and has no idea why anyone would shoot him. >> they don't know. he wasn't around here. >> he was studying economics at lewis and clark college in portland where he was wide receiver on the football teach, and was a graduate of reardon high school in san francisco, where he played sports and graduated with honors. is former p.e. teacher came to pay respects. he says in addition to being a star athlete and a great student, jacob was a good person. >> he and his little best friend were the ones that would stick up for the kids getting picked on. making sure everybody had enough of whatever. he was a great little guy. reporter: there is no description of the gunman or the person who drive the car, but neighbors describe the vehicle as a gray four-door sedan. anyone with information is urged to call san francisco police

department. >> ama: to developing news. a seven-year-old boy visiting an antioch home with his family has been shot. appeared this afternoon on william reed drive. nick smith is live in the newsroom with the details. reporter: police responded to the house on william reed drive just after 4:00 p.m. this is the second shooting on that street in the last ten days. >> radio: in stable condition with nonlife-threatening injuries. >> i spoke with the antioch police department. he department is investigating the shooting of a seven-year-old boy. >> at night -- at this point it appears not a random act. >> police say the seven-year-old and his family were visitors to this home. >> several shots were fired, and unfortunately the seven-year-old child was the person struck by the gunfire. reporter: investigators believe the gunman took a position here and fired at the unsuspecting crowd gathered below. >> at this point it appears there was -- the backyard had

several people in it. reporter: the boy was hit bay single bullet and was airlifted from the school yard to the hospital in oakland. >> last week, nicholas chavez was gunned down at this intersection. a memorial stands where the 20-year-old was killed. all of this is two blocks from where today's shooting happened. reporter: police say chavez died in a hail of gunfire that broke out after noon. police have not identified any suspects in that shooting shootd wouldn't say if it was gang-related. investigators are working to i.d. the shooters in both crimes. >> at this time we do not believe the two incidents are related. >> police are asking that anyone with information about either shooting contact the antioch police department. >> ama: new details tonight in the shootout outside a bart station that left a 50-year-old man dade.

san lee an dough police says an 18-year-old was arrested for the shooting at the bart station in january. police say it appears two rival groups ran into each other, words were exchanged and shooting started. a bystander was killed and a woman injured. >> two people have been arrested in san francisco after a fight at the castro muni station at 8:30. a verbal fight escalated. our cameras were there when the injured man was loaded on to a stretcher. he should be okay. you see him there. police detained six people. muni service was not affected. the chp is investigating why a truck ran off the road and crashed into water this morning. happened on highway 37 just outside vallejo. two men in the pickup truck were helped to shore by man and woman who were fishing nearby. the driver was taken to the hospital with serious internal injuries. his passenger was not hurt. officers say the driver may have suffered a medical emergency

while driving. the accident could have been much worse. >> could have been a fatal collision, and thankfully it wasn't. and as you can see, became airborne, landed in the water so could have lost consciousness and then drowned. >> ama: the truck was hauled out of the water this afternoon. a pleasant hill woman in a wheelchair is save after firefighters rescued her phenomenon a burning house. the fire started on pleasant hill road. crews say the fire began in the garage before flames spread to the rest of the house. the red encloses -- red cross helped the woman get in a shelter. >> the white house says it's taking escalating tensions on north korea peninsula seriously. north korea says it's in a state of wore against south korea. the announcement came after a call by kim jong-un to put walking units on standby.

>> ama: pope francis is celebrating easter mass at the vatican this morning and speaking to the crowds gather it. on saturday he celebrated an anker villagele service and did something no pope has ever done before. alex perez has more. reporter: on italian television the pope did something popes rarely do, participating in a broadcast special on the shroud of turin. the pope referred to it as the symbol of hope, but like his predecessors, never declaring it to be the inone cloth that covered christ's crucified body. it's the first televised showing in 30 years, the second time in history. and continuing his style of breaking with tradition, the pope, instead of washing the

talk about our timing for tomorrow. as we head through the evening, we'll continue to see the shower activity. this is 5:00 a.m. tomorrow, and you can see we're looking at quite a bit of moisture around much of the bay area. then we get into a little bit of a break. this is 9:00. so, if you have some outdoor plans tomorrow morning, you might get a little brief respite from the showers, maybe a little sunshine, and it lasts until 12:00, 1:00, 2:00, so a nice little bit of a break. not say there's still not some scatters showers but won't be as widespread. by 2:00, 3:00, 4:00, another bit of a break with just widely scattered showers right on in through tomorrow evening. so, it's not going to be all a wash tomorrow. some showers could be heavy, isolated thunderstorms. and we'll have a little sunshine that will help with the daytime heating and fire up the instability. 57 tomorrow for san jose. 63 for redwood city.

as we begin our worship service and before the gathering -- right before the gathering prayer and after the gathering prayer, there's going to be a time when we go to good friday, a time when we understand the agony of the cross and those six hours when jesus suffered for us. we must have these moments before we celebrate easter. and so now let us center our hearts for the gathering prayer. let's pray. o gracious holy god, we're so very thankful to gather here on this easter morning. we know, lord god, that as we come, we come with joy and with anticipation of all the ways that you make us new because of your son, jesus the christ. y od, i would just pray for each and every person who has come here and for all those online and out in the narthex and for everyone gathered on easter throughout the christian world.
