man and the man in the leg. the suspect has curly hair and was wearing black. new at 11:00, san francisco police arrested two people they believe shot a man near mcclaren park. it happened before 8:00. police zeroed in on campbell avenue after a man walked into a local emergency room with a gunshot wound to his leg. police say they recovered a handgun near the crime scene. a traffic mess tonight on the i-80 after a tour bus caught on fire. it happened on i-80 near vallejo just after 7:00. lilian kim is live on the scene with a look at what happened. >> ama, interstate 80 was moving along, but earlier it was quite a mess as flames from a bus fire spread quickly. this is video shot by a ono on interstate 80. it shows a tour bus engulfed in flames. luckily there were no passengers on board and the

driver made it out safely. but the flames spread quickly to several eucalyptus trees that stood between the interstate and an apartment building. those who live in a trailer park down the street ran out of their homes to see a thick, dark plume of smoke. >> i saw a tree on fire and sparks coming down. people were starting to get their stuff and leaving. >> embers from the eucalyptus trees burnt a fence, lawn furniture and other outdoor firefighters were able to keep an apartment building from burning down. it could have been a lot worse. eucalyptus trees are full of oil and highly flammable. >> keep in mind they have a lot of pine needles and other types of eucalyptus leaves on these rooves. they also caught fire. >> traffic on interstate 80 slowed to a crawl as the fire was happening. whatr what caused the fire, but it is believed to have started in the engine. the bus driver was able to walk away from the fire, but

was being looked at for possible smoke inhalation. lilian kim, abc7 news. >> thank you, lilian. now to the south bay where we are learning details of the rampage in a wal-mart store. a man tried to run over people in the parking lot on story road this san jose. and then he drove his care andno the store and attacked several people. abc7 news reporter sergio quintana joins us with the new details tonight. >> reporter: after >> reporter: after a few hours of cleaning up the mess. where there used to be a bunch of glass and steal doors there is wood panels. that's where the car went crashing into this wal-mart store. tonight we are learning about who owns that car. >> a shatter ited front door at this wal-mart and just beyond inside the store. the red oldsmobile was used in this rampage. police have not released the

name, but the car is registered to zaid. tonight a man with the same name was booked in the jail system. you can see how the vehicle is resting at an angle. a wal-mart employee we talked with says a display in the store helped stop the car. >> what stopped him was i it looked like he wanted to continue driving. >> once inside the driver hoped out of the car and started swinging at customers. >> i saw the guy started striking everybody. >> you can see pair immediate disiks -- paramedics helping people. witnesses say it turned into pandemonium as people rushed to get out. >> i heard a bunch of people screaming and i heard this loud noise like it was gunshots, but that's not what it was. that's not what it was. i just heard a bunch of people screaming and running, and i started running too. >> investigators tell us some

customers went the extra mile. they were able to hold the driver down until the police arrived. this whole bizarre incident started at 11:15 easter morning. that's when the driver of the red oldsmobile sped to the parking lot. sharon kay says he smashed into her car and then kept speeding through the lot. >> he was going up and down the parking lot about 40 or 50 miles an hour. he was going very fast. >> a few of the customers inside the inside the store who were injured did have to get transported to the hospital. we were told those are all nonlife-threatening injuries. surprisingly even though it was described this guy was nd weaving, noeds of 40 or 50 one was hit. there were no pedestrians injured outside. reporting live, abc7 news. >> thank you, sergio. we will continue to follow this story on abc7news.com and on the abc7 morning news at 4:30.

three people died in three separate shootings across oakland today. the latest happened around holly street.ning at 70th it follows two other shootings, one on international boulevard just after 4:00 p.m. and another on 68th avenue around 10:00 this morning. police examined this cara shot d for other clues on 68th avenue. that victim died after being rushed to the hospital. no arrests have been made. tuesday marks the firstary g masacre that took the lives of seven people at the university in oakland. he planned the shooting after getting aping gree with school official -- after getting angry with school officials. they say he is incompetent to stand trial. there will be two memorial concerts for the victim. one on saturday in oakland and the other in el dorado hills on april 14th. in virginia, police are blaming thick fog and fast speeds for causing a 95-car pile up that killed three people.

the first of the 17 separate crashes that formed the pile upstarted after 1:00 this afternoon. it happened on interstate 77 near the virginia-north carolina border. police say drivers have to adapt their speed to the conditions. >> if that doesn't happen, it doesn't matter if you put up another sign or anything like that. if you are going too fast and can't stop in time, you know,nox that. >> 25 people were hospitalized with injuries ranging from serious to minor. rescue personnel closed both sides of the interstate so ambulances and fire trucks could get to the scene. in texas, easter morning saw the removal of the bodies of a county district attorney and his wife. they were shot to death overnight, and authorities believe the couple was targeted. just two months ago an assistant district attorney in the same county was shot to death near the courthouse. >> still to come on abc news at 11:00, think you can get

the san francisco symphony strike appears to be over. musicians and management announced they have reached a tentative agreement for a new three-year contract. both sides have to give final approval. symphony members went on strike three weeks ago. april is national distracted driving awareness month. oakland police decided to enforce it a day early.

good evening. i'm ama dates, in tonight's headlines a shooting on a san francisco muni bus left two people wounded. it happened on mission street. a woman was shot in the stomach and a man suffered a leg wound. a tour bus burst into flames on eastbound i-80 in vallejo. check that out. the driver escaped unharmed, but it torched nearby trees and the embers nearly burned down an apartment building. an engine fire likely lead that fire. >> and a man is in custody after running over people in is a san jose parking lot and
