police say the teen wounded is 15 or 16 and the officers would soon learn neither teen shot nor his two friends were involved in the crime and someone had weapons jordan said that second call turned out false. homicide detectives have contacted the father of the victim to explain what happened. he says that he will engage in complete transparency to figure out the status of the he skprents what tlod that shooting. >> now to a crime on the increase throughout the bay area simple as diabolical. someone knocks on the door. if you don't answer you're next victim of a band of burglars breaking into homes. the crime was caught on camera. it's scary.

>> it could be dangerous, too. you don't know how burglars are going to react. now this is the community that was built around five or six years ago. residents tell me they've seen increased crime. one homeowner gave me video taken during an attempted burglary. take a look. security video shows a woman with an infant at front door. she knocks and rings a doorbell. the homeowner told abc 7 news a nanny is in the house but does not answer because the woman is a stranger. and one point she peers through the window to see if anyone is home. later two men appear in the back of the house after jumping a fence from the neighbor's yard. the video shows them trying to pry the sliding glass door from the tracks. they use a bar as well as a shovel to loosen the door.

but having no luck they dash off, apparently startled by the nanny. moments later one intruder taking his hat and shirt off jumps over the fence back into the yard, again. he left something important in his retreat. the homeowner says it looked like a store variety radio scanner. police spokesman albert morales. >> fortunate someone was home and was able to scare them, they left. >> he says it may have turned out different ily if they got into the house and confronted the nanny and child. >> a 14-year-old boy had been shot and killed here. >> aj strong is a board member of the homeowner association. he says there is not only bang activity but a rash of other crimes here in this development of over 100 homes. >> i don't know of a home is that doesn't have at least one car broken into.

california wilderness has been found. she was lg having trouble breathing when found just a half mile from where she parked her car. we're live with the story that has a happy ending. >> a lot of tired rescuers here but very happy, overjoyed workers. stated before noon today authorities say it took about 90 minutes to rescue her from the point where they first spotted her. we're told she was found close to where her friend was rescued last night about a half a mile from where they parked their car easter sunday. we talked with her rescuer who's say they're amazed that she survived. smiles say it all. >> it's amazing. it's really rewarding.

>> before noon, rescuers located kendall jack. a hiker heard the 18-year-old screaming for help. the brush so thick authorities say they could only hear her first but not see her. >> we're just talking and told her don't move. >> crews then directed a helicopter n the sheriff's deputy was lowered down to her. >> she was clinging to a ledge going in and out of consciousness, having difficulty breathing. >> jack has an injured arm and gone four days without food or water. >> she won't have made it longer, she's lucky. >> authorities say jack was found close to where searchers rescued her friend last night. family and friends got the

pilot of the oil tanker that hit the bay bridge in january now faces a fight to keep his license. state panel that regulates bar pilots says the accident was a result of miz hiz misconduct and now, a judge will decide. >> the license had been suspended by the bar pilot association which is a private entity. today's move represents government action that could lead to his losing his license permanently. january 7th, the 40,000 pound oil tanker hit the bay bridge, side swiped a tower closer to the san francisco side and

caused fender damage. pilotting that day, captain guy clees, today the board decided to pursue suspension of the license after its own investigation into his actions. >> these actions provide a pattern showing he did not use ordinary care as an expert in his profession when directing movement. and we believe there was misconduct. >> the report says he lost the situational wareness and he was complacent. and changed his planned course through a narrow gap in poor visibility and strong currents, radar map records were played at the hearing.

year there have been six pedestrian fatalities on san francisco streets. one problem area is along slot avenue. supervisor yee represents that area ask officials sate lack of stop signs contributes to pedestrian death autos collisions occur ask are more likely to result in a fatal one if they're traveling at speeds not as likely in an area of the city that is more dense. >> the city is looking at implementing turn restrictions on cars and giving pedestrians more time to get across the street. >> more money is being shelled out for california high speed rail. the project hasn't broken ground. california high speed rail authority extended contracts of two consumting firms for $50 million.
