the health department in martinez. >> reporter: good morning. health officials tell us the student is okay. is no longer infectious and is back at school. now the focus is making sure that t.b. doesn't spread. >> health care workers will be at deer valley handgun to test students for tuberculosis. some parents say they don't think they can wait that long. >> i wish it were today. i'm sure everything will be fine. >> i'll get her tested. as a matter of fact when we get home from school today i'll take her. >> a student tested positive for t.b. in march. after conducting an investigation they decided all kids in the infected students's classes and extracurricular activity should be tested. parents were called yesterday. >> it's a little unnerving. its serious situation. i think they are doing what they can to inform everybody. >> the last time health care workers tested for t.b. on a

contra costa campus was in 2009 when a student at antioch high had the disease. >> that is how you find out things. it's unexpected, you never know. >> t.b. is serious disease but treatable and curable. >> health officials say you can have the infection and not realize it. that is why testing is important. they can treat the infection before it turns into the disease. >> they have symptoms of cuffing along with fever an weight loss of more than ten pounds, and night sweats. >> health officials will be on campus on thursday. they believe about 200 people need to be tested. if you like to know about t.b.. they put out a lot more

information and good q&a so go to abc7news.com and got all the information for you right there. >> cheryl: breaking news now in houston, texas, police have arrested a person in connection with a series of a stabbings at community college. they are searching for another suspect. at least 14 people were stabbed. two medical helicopters rushed victims from the campus to nearby trauma centers. they raced to the lone star campus. police chief will hold a townhall meeting to discuss an officer-involved shooting in the mission district. two people got into a confrontation outside the elbow room on 17th street around 2:00 sunday morning. one person pulled out what appeared to be a gun. they ran in to tell officers. police shot the suspect and another person. both have life-threatening

injuries. weapon turned out to be an air powered firearm. the officers are on paid administrative leave. tonight's townhall meeting is at 5:00 p.m. at cornerstone church on 17th street. we have more details on our website. what is happening in the south bay, a search is under way for a 76-year-old man with early signs of alzheimer's disease. they say he has been missing since sunday. he was last seen at a friend's house in east san jose. lopez went for a walk but never came back. he was wearing khaki pants and a green jacket. relatives say he walks with a limp and likes to visit our native guadalupe church. >> moraga police are looking for a man that sexually assaulted a coed in our campus apartment over the weekend. cornell bernard is live at the school. students have received an alert?

>> reporter: yes, they have. they are getting an email crime alert about the sexual assault of that female student. police today are looking for a suspect. >> campus safety is our priority. i want to make sure that everyone on our college campus understands that. >> campus officials are trying to calm the nerves of students at st. mary's college in the wake of the sexual assault that happened on saturday on a residents hall. >> the young lady met a gentleman somewhere off campus and came back and sometime early in the morning on saturday morning, an assault or battery occurred. >> police say the suspect was not a st. mary's student. he is described as a white male, 21 years old, 6'1" medium build with brown hair and blue eyes. they got the campus alert email about the attack but sai they are not fearful.

is there is not a lot of fallout at sfo. airport spokesman says only one southwest flight round trip to denver is cancelled but in denver, 535 flights are grounded. >> it's snowing in denver and crews at the airport are working to keep flights cleared. flights are delayed on on top of the hundreds that have been cancelled. high winds are causing problems in denver. take a look at massive tree that came crashing down with a family inside. >> it feels like, i could never imagine seeing this happen to my home. >> in yuma county, colorado storm chasers captured a video of tornado. midwest got it. in the bay area, sheet metal dangled above a sidewalk. the wind is blamed for sfashg brush fire.

are lobbying lawmakers to pass strict gun law measures. vice president and eric holder echoing their concerns. >> cheryl: you are looking at live pictures this is in washington, d.c. and many are delivering remarks calling on congress to pass what they are calling common sense measures to reduce gun violence. you see them at the table and stricter background checks. >> senate democrats are holding a lunchtime meeting to discuss strategy. republicans plan to block any laws to curb access to guns to law abiding citizens. >> today is national equal pay day, women are still paid only 77 cents for every dollar a man is paid. latinos, 54 cents and african-americans 66 cents to a

man's dollar. there are events including in city hall where the board of supervisors is expected to vote on a resolution declaring today equal pay day in the city. >> kristen: some fans from both sides got out of hand after last night's ncaa championship game. this was the scene in louisville where police had to use tear gas they made a dozen arrests around campus, mostly for drunken and disorderly conduct. >> disappointed wolverine fans took to the streets of ann arbor and set a series of small fires using furniture like box springs and couches to fuel the fire. firefighters responded to at least 7 fires but only two people were arrested. meanwhile, the louisville players are celebrating as national champs of college basketball. they came back from a 12-point deficit to beat them.

napa and fairfield and union city in the mid to upper 50s. here is what is happening. low pressure pulling away from us. the distance between that and the high pressure has relaxed and so has the gradients. that is why the winds are slowly relaxing. high pressure will move over tonight in to tomorrow. switch our winds to offshore and easterly wind blowing out over the ocean and keeping it well offshore. the reason why we're going to warm up especially tomorrow. mid to upper 70s in the south bay. low to 70s in most of the peninsula. millbrae, 59. low to mid-50s with upper 60s in san francisco. beaches low to mid-60s and mid to upper 70s in the valleys. low to mid-70s along the east bayshore. mid to upper 70s into the east bay valleys. if you are traveling around the state, gusty through the central valley to about 50 in tahoe
