calls reporting gunfire. now, responding officers found three men had been shot. witnesses reported seeing a single male step out of a white suv, fire shots before jumping back in the car and speeding away. >> we're following up with shot spotter system. we've got witnesses we're interviewing now. >> now, detectives would soon find the vehicle blocks away and learn it had been reported stolen earlier. three men injured were attending a program at richmond build. the community-based program helps give individuals with a challenged background a set of skills they can use to reenter the work force. police have not identified a victim in that shooting but do tell me they plan to put more officers on the streets to reduce further gun violence.

>> oakland police arrested a 10 time felon for a shooting that killed a photographer. the 54-year-old was a former freelancer for the oakland tribute. friday night he got caught in the cross fire of a gun fight near a gas station. police say video of the battle helped pinpoint a 38-year-old anthony lifter as the suspect firing the deadly bullet that killed fluker. police say lifter goes by the name joe mcneilly. >> yesterday's wind storm left quite a mess. check out the impact of the gusts that swept sand on to san francisco great highway. the mess closed the roadway. part reopened this afternoon. the section between skyline and slope boulevard. the stretch between slope and lincoln way remains closed. crews were so busy today clearing out trees damaged by the wind storm. about 90 were knocked down by

gusts in san francisco. pg&e crews worked to restore power to 60,000 customers around the bay area. in orinda, a 60 foot tree crashed down in this cul-de-sac. the tree knocked out power to residents. and rattled nerves. >> i heard a loud crash there is a tree, my car, kids were still in school. it was what it was. >> take a look at this mess in san francisco sunset district. two trees fell on top of a baseball diamond. >> the star attraction of san francisco fleet week is being cut from the mill because of the spending cuts, blue angels are grounded this year. mark, what a shame. they're a huge draw. >> they are. the city puts economic impact at about $60 million.

animal control says it may have been distressed or abandoned. a group of whale watchers off half moon bay got more than money's worth this weekend. they also got a taste of salty sea water courtesy of the whales spraying the boat. the rare encounter happened on saturday. two miles off the coast. the oceanic society provided us with this video. the group says this 45-minute encounter was particularly unusual. they were looking for gray whales. >> and look how close they were. >> yes. they had to turn engines off and wait for them to lee. i know. >> well, spence jer here. with warm up. >> yes tomorrow will be probably the warmest day of the week. let's take a look. here is live doppler 7 hd. clear skies around the bay area now.
