>> couple of oakland a's players visited the young east bay boy injured in the boston bombings, the 11-year-old aaron hern has had a number of surgeries because of shrapnel. the a's are in boston for a series with the red sox. kira klapper has more. >> the visit comes after first lady michelle obama visited aaron hern on thursday and this morning, the players met with the 11-year-old and his family at boston's children hospital. the martinez boy was injured by shrapnel as his mother crossed the boston marathon finish line a week ago today. a family says aaron hern is respond well to treatment but the family does not know when he will come home. also, doctors at boston medical center gave a brief saying that everyone injured in the blast who made it out alive seems likely to survive but that rehabilitation from here on out will be a marathon. >> it will take months for

people to recover. for those who are in rehabilitation the importance is to integrate mental health services, behavioral health services, into the process. in the interest of promoting optimal healing. >> here is the latest, 180 people were hurt and at least 14 of them lost all or part of a limb. 51 are still hospitalized and three are listed in critical condition, five of 9 victims are in serious condition. all of the injured victims are expected to survive. in the newsroom for abc7 news. >> the senate intelligence committee will conduct its own investigation into the f.b.i.'s handling of intelligence leading up to the boston bombing. senator feinstein chairs the committee and wants did know where yesterday plagues everyone not raised when tamerlan was questioned by the feds before a

downtown san francisco, will the sea breeze make it? i bet we get do 80 degrees before it reaches us late during the afternoon hours. 87 in san rafael and possible record highs, and 83 at oakland and hayward, but they are not the warm spot. 85 in fremont. 86 in castro valley. it could be the first time this year you have to run the air conditioner in the east bay valley at nearly 90. concord at 88 and a record high. the temperatures are you have upper 80's to low 90's, and notice the cloud cover developing and how it is pushing around santa barbara and headed up the big sur coast. what is the surge that takes away our warming trend. that is what we will watch for tomorrow and wednesday. until then, does it get much better at at&t park at 70's degrees at first pitch dropping to 60 with a light breeze. tonight, the temperatures are in
