stockton. the young girl was found stabbed to death in a suspected robbery attempt at her home on saturday and an autopsy is scheduled for today. yesterday, authorities gathered fingerprints and d.n.a. evidence from the scene after door-to-door searches across the small town turned up nothing. >> doing a house-to-house search and some cases we are searching in at ticks and storage sheds. it is a difficult area to search being rural. >>the suspect is a white or hispanic man with a black shirt and blue pants. police patrols are stepped up at schools and bus stops with counselors on hand. >> in the check capital a power will explosion has injured 40 people and the search is on for victims buried. authorities think the blast was caused by a natural gas explosion but the investigation is just underway. windows shattered for hundreds of yards.

police sealed off a street while they search for new victims. >> new developments in the boston marathon bombings investigation. the brothers may not have done it entirely alone. our news reporter is in washington where officials look for evidence of outside train training. officials believe the brothers were lone wolves but clues in the design suggest they may have had some help. authorities now believe the suspected boston bombers receive outside training. they are searching for potential suspects who may have helped with the bomb design. >> they have a wide net overseas and in the united states to find out where the person is. the experts all agree there is someone who did train the two

damaged a form former hotel that was scheduled for democrat mission. the building has been used for training. >> the two tri-valley sisters charged with child abuse at a daycare center will appear in court today and will enter a plea to three felony counts of child abuse and misdemeanor neglect. the sisters ran a preschool in livermore. the prosecution says child care workers wrapped seven infants so tightly in swaddling blankets they had trouble breathing. the two happen to be pregnant. >> jury selection is expected to begin in the murder trial of suspected serial killer, a 79-year-old charged with killing four women in yuba, and contra costa county and marin define 1997 and 1994 by strangling them. he is representing himself and says all the evidence against

him is circumstantial and he faces the death penalty if convicted. >> a berkeley police officer off duty is recovering from stab wounds he suffered in burlingame. the officer was leaving a party with friends on saturday night and they got involved in a fight with people outside the bar. the officer was taken to san francisco general where he is in stable condition. there is no word on what sparked the fight. >> the warriors can advance to the nba playoffs with one more win tomorrow. they have taken a 3-1 lead in the first round playoffs again the nuggets. they beat nuggets last night in game four in front of our hometown fans. the warriors beat the nuggets and stiff caught fire in -- stef got fire last night in the third quarter. tickets for game six on thursday
