two new brushfires are burning just north of the bay area tonight. sky 7hd is overhead. this one in napa. it is the site of an 1880s era resort. 20 acres are burning there. an unoccupied trailer was destroyed. >> another fire in kelseyville near lake county. there are no injuries. >> the yellow fire has burned through more than a hundred acres in sonoma county just across the county line from calistoga. more on that in a moment. good evening. i'm carolyn johnson. >> i'm dan ashley. we begin with red flag warnings for the bay area.

sandhya patel has more. sandhya? >> the red flag warnings were extended until moon tomorrow. let's check out live doppler hd and the skies are clear across the bay area, but the red flag warning is in affect for the north bay mountains, east bay hills and de yaw blow range -- diablo range. elevation about a thousand foot. humidity levels are 10 to 20%. winds are gusting 30 to 45 miles per hour. fire danger remaining elevated. you can see a little shaky camera there, but here are some of the hill type wind gusts right now in the north bay hills . knoxville creek, 30 mile an hour gusts and hawk eye 28. mount diablo34 and calaveras road,30 mile an hour wind gusts. record high temperatures coming and a heat advisory going up. >> sandhya, thank you. the yellow fire burning in saw though ma county is 60% contain -- in sonoma county is

60% contained. 100 acres burned and one farm house. alan wang is live in saw -- sonoma county with the latest. alan? >> carolyn, this fire is no longer a threat to the wine country or its tourism. but it is a wake up call to the firefighting season that started a lot earlier than expected. tonight firecrews are guarding against any gust of wind that could reignite the fire north of calistoga. it started last night and he saw how fast his farm house went up in flames. >> nobody was here. the winds were blowing so hard. >> it has been a fierce combination with high winds and the low humidity. unseasonably dry weather that is quickly transforming the green hillsides. >> it burned the brown and the green slowed it down. a lot of the fire spread was by aerial spotting of embers. >> those flying embers also

ignited two spot fires. there were a total of four wildfires right in the heart of wine country. >> the fire can devastate a vineyard. you won't have any crop for another five years. >> the flames today threatened crops owned by the kendal jackson winery. a reminder for many vineyards to trim down the cover crops. it adds moisture and knew nutrients to the soil. fernandez is the wine maker for schaefer vineyards. >> it can go fast. when the grass is like a carpet and it is so dry it can just rapidly move through that vineyard. >> the trees and the grass have lost their moisture sooner than expected. and the seasonal firefighters are not due for two weeks. an ominous sign for the long firefighting season ahead. reporting live in sonoma county, alan wang, abc7 news. >> thank you. a fire in riverside county continues to grow. firefighters now have it 35% contained.

the fire is on the northern outskirts of banning and has grown to nearly 3,000 acres. it is a good size. at least one house has been destroyed. >> fire ripped through a new housing complex under construction in fremont. it started late this afternoon at the moss landing terrace. you can see the flames shooting out of a ruptured gas line from one home to another. the fire destroyed the home and damaged tour others. four others. >> more problems for the bay bridge. this time cracks have been discovered in up to two dozen welds. they are in 33-feet long welds that connect the steel base of the tower. they are necessary to withstand a major earthquake. the new issue comes as cal trans tries -- [no audio]

>> they told abc news that she was a retired accountant that worked at headquarters and attended cal and san francisco university. they believe jeffrey boyce of oregon may have killed her. the investigators say boyce drove from oregon to california carjacked and kidnapped the man he was on his way to the russian consulate. also new, a confrontation between police and protesters in seattle. police units used flashbang devices to break up the crowd during a may day protest. the media was being pelted

with rocks and other things being thrown. one police officer was injured and at least this you are teen people were arrested. >> in the bay area it was calm by comparison. sky 7hd was overhead as more than a thousand people marched to civic center plaza. they called for change to the u.s. immigration policy. and immigration was the focus of the march that lead from fruit veil plaza. another rally that called for a $15 per hour minimum wage in oakland. the may day demonstration took place in san jose as several thousand people came out to make their case for immigration reform. abc7 news reporter leslie brinkley is live in san jose. >> i am at city hall. the scene of today's rally at the end of a big march here. this mini protest was filled with families and participants are hopeful. thousands marched down santa

clara street and converged on san jose city hall for a may day rally focused on immigration reform. >> it is for aspiring america that live in the united states. >> there were mothers, children, workers, union members carrying american flags, signs and umbrellas to shield the sun. many see immigration reform as a moral issue. >> it is about keeping families together. >> the march started at our lady of guadeloupe in east san jose. >> it is a deeper profile march. >> and the message they want to send to washington. >> you guys should give us a chance. we are hard workers, and we are here in america and we are more americans than we are our

nationality. >> so again the final tally several thousand people at the rally, about the same number that participated last year in. san jose, leslie -- last year. in san jose, leslie brinkley. three friends of the surviving boston marathon suspect has been arrested. the men are accused of trying to protect tsarnaev. they recognized his photo after the bombing and helped him by getting rid of potential evidence including a laptop and backpack filled with hollowed out fireworks. they are accused of obstruction of justice. the third is charged with making false statements to federal investigators. we all know how expensive it is to live here in the bay area. >> 7 on your side's michael finney has found a way to make it a little better. >> dan, carolyn, i searched

outlet in berkeley. the back room in the crate and barrel outlet sells store samples and furniture that has been returned to one of its retail stores. most everything is marked down at least 30%. on tuesdays the furniture that hasn't sold that week gets cut another 10%. at the 13,000 square foot restoration outlet in vacaville it is mostly over stocked merchandise from the store. most is brand-new and in great condition. some furniture here is marked down by as much as 60%. and everything is at least 20% below the prices you would find in their regular store. athena drives here from alameda for the big savings. >> pretty much everything you see in the store you will see out here. look out there and look on-line and i see what is out there and then i see if i can pick it up. >> restoration hardware doesn't advertise this, but if you are looking for something

the woman is paralyzed on the left side of her body. firefighters say she wanted to spend the night in the tree for some reason. two male friends used a truck wench to get her up there, but she couldn't get down. she was stuck. she was not hurt. firefighters handed the case over to vallejo police. no one has been arrested. new at 11:00, japanese scientists may have developed a drug that makes men less likely to cheat. they say the antibiotic reduces the risk of the honey trap. that's when a man makes poor decisions around an an an an -- an attractive woman. and they are look at relieving the symptoms from sits phren yaw. schizophrenia. and a red flag warning is is still a concern. >> sandhya is tracking that for us. >> an elevated fire danger through tomorrow. you can see that the skies are clear. by morning we could see a few

patches of fog. the heat advisory is going up for virtually the entire bay area. thursday 1:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. the 90s are expected in the warmest inland communities and record highs are likely. and dangerously hot conditions are expected inside cars. don't leave your pets orchids inside. it gets hotter in the cars than outside. as you look at the view from the high definition rooftop camera you are looking at the bay bridge here. clear skies and the temperatures are 58 in san francisco. it is 60 in oakland. we have low 60s around san jose. but half moon bay is a cool 48 degrees compared to other areas. from our high definition emeryville camera you can see across the bay that the temperatures are 59 in santa rosa, napa, 69 in livermore. livermore 62 degrees. here are the highlights. we are looking at patches of fog first thing tomorrow morning. record highs are likely tomorrow and cooling begins on friday. so for those who do not like the heat, cooler weather is coming. but it is not immediately. here is a week ahead for livermore, tomorrow, 96

degrees. the temperatures are still remaining in the hot category for friday. and then really starting to come down. by sunday dropping to 79 degrees. much cooler weather early next week. once again fire danger remains high. right now gusting to about 35 miles an hour. last night we had wind gusts 65, 75 miles an hour. breezy with single digits and teens for your humidity values. the high pressure is the controlling factor. wind flow over the inland communities have been out of the north, northeast. over the coastal areas it has been out of the west, southwest. opposing wind patterns explains the low 60s. low 90s around the santa rosa airport. the wind direction tomorrow primarily coming this way which is why the heat is going to extend all the way to the coastline tomorrow afternoon. tomorrow morning it is going to start out pretty mild. overnight lows you can see here mainly 60s, 50s, 47

in half moon bay, and we will see a few patches of fog tomorrow afternoon. the asterisk indicating a record possibility. 92 degrees and could hit record territory. 95 for morgan hill in the south bay and 95 los gatos and 90 in sawn knee veil. 78 on the peninsula and 93 in redwood city. mountainville 92. that could be a record. 76 in pacifica. we are looking at warm weather around daly city and the sunset district. downtown san francisco 86 degrees. that's expected to be a record. as you look at the north bay communities, it is going to be hot. 93 in napa and 92 santa rosa and san rafael. these expected to be in the record area. east bay, upper 80s to low 90s. 90 in newark. oakland could be a record. 96 degrees in livermore. that may be reaching up into record territory. walnut creek 96 degrees. 94 in fairfield. here is a look at the accu-weather seven-day forecast. hot tomorrow. we are expecting a drop in the temperatures slowly especially
