>> live from the kgo-tv broadcast center this is abc7 news. we can see several wildfires keeping the firefighters busy. we are on the firelines. >> from northern california to southern california where hundreds of people have been forced from their homes because of a fire in riverside county and a familiar threat is to blame. >> game six between the warriors and nuggets is tonight. this morning, we are inside the arena with a preview of the fan frenzy leading to the matchup. >> frenzy is the right world, 6:00 on thursday. thanks if joining us. >> it will be another hot one. here is mike. >> that is the big story weather-wise. it is the oppressive heat as the story. there are a couple of modifications. it is not extended to the coast. the temperatures will drop during the afternoon as the local sea breeze develops. the fire danger has --ed. the humidity is up. the wind speeds are down and

that is why we don't have the red-flag warning. 1:00 o'clock to 5:00 is when we have the heat advisory. the day planner shows noon to be 81 and at 4:00 it will be 86. inland we are starting hazy with temperatures in the mid 50's and mid-80's by noon and record-setting low to my 90's around 4:00 and at the coast, we are going to see temperatures jump quickly from 58 this morning to 69 at noon and spiking in the mid-to-upper 70's and by 4:00 we have the cooling trend taking over and 60's are back. >> it is busy headed through fremont southbound. southbound 880 along the nimitz, we have a four-car pileup and two of these cars have spun out control and we are looking at a lane blocked with slowing to show. we are at 35 miles per hour and in the single cases in some digits so, slow, slow traffic in that area.

as we take it to the oracle arena, we are going to be seeing warriors versus the nuggets so that means lots of traffic and you want to use mass transit. in san jose the drive along 87 beyond the julian off-ramp it is moving along but traffic is building. >> overnight the national weather service lifted the red-flag warning for the bay area but hot temperatures are posing a challenge for firefighters as they continue to battle several wildfires. crews are battling three wildfires and the latest started last night near soda canyon road in napa area and another is building in lake county and the yellow fire continues to burn in sonoma county. that is where we find abc7 news reporter with an update. sue? >> good morning, eric. it is going to be another tough, hot dayen at frontlines for the firefighters. however, the wind is gone.

that is a big deal. the crews are work, very hard to try and get full containment today. the yellow fire is where we are the closest to in sonoma county, it destroyed one home along with a few hundred acres and it was downright challenge for the fire crews and it got so bad alameda county and 280 firefighters from around the bay area had to show up to try and help them get a handle on it and they were able to do that overnight. we understand it is more than 60 percent contained. they expect full containment of the yellow fire by this evening. the soda canyon fire was another problem with 20 acres burned but firefighters say they very confident that fire will be contained by later on this morning because weather conditions are improving and helping them out on that front. one home was destroyed in the fires and the owners escaped but they say waiting for firefighters was scary.

time yesterday. that is good news. the issue is this afternoon when the dangerous heat comes in. the drop is 10 to 20 degrees from saturday to sunday coinciding with showers that are light pop-up showers but they are in the forecast. the biggest thing is the drop in temperatures on friday with haze as we look back to the marine headlands. we have low-to-mid 90's from redwood city, and san jose, and 19 to 23 degrees warmer-than-average. look for the at terrific at 92 in san jose, and possible record high at los gatos and morgan hill and warmer at 95 and mountain view is 92 and possible record high and most of us are in the 90's from redwood city south and 80's san mateo north and low 70's to near 80 along the coast and the afternoon hours, that is when the sea
