marzullo is in the newsroom. >> the spring fire damaged 15 homes. there are no injuries and none are destroyed. the fire is a massive fire. 8,000 acres are burning, 12 square miles. it is only 10 percent contained. the flames are threatening 2,000 homes and 100 commercial properties. evacuation orders are in effect if several neighborhoods. >> i pulled to my home and seeing flames in the back of the house the natural response is fear but coming up on the firemen they were cool and collected and felt they had a 95 percent control of the situation. >> the fire officials say the fire topped the ridge and reach the pacific coast highway. they had to close the road for a second time at 9:00 last night.

the fire is still growing and the 10 percent containment estimate is likely to shrink. two bay area agencies have sent resources to san mateo and san ramon valley to southern california. we will find out who is leaving the bay area to help down south. >> another hot day will keep firefighters on alert in the bay area today. in the east bay crews attacked a couple of small grass fires yesterday. we were overhead when roadside flames flared up in oakland snarling the rush hour traffic. we were on another fire at castro valley along 580 with two lanes of traffic blocked. both fires were quickly put out. officials are expecting a busy fire season this year. >> it has been not this dry in over 20 years and fire season is starting earlier and it will be

her san jose home yesterday an hour after being released from jail. the 50-year-old chemist was arrested on monday after witnesses saw her take two bottles of orange juice from the bag and put them in a refrigerated display at a starbucks store. firefighters tested the juice and found a lethal level of rubbing alcohol but the d.a. is awaiting laboratory results. the prosecution had until yesterday to formally charge her. >> the district attorney has not found sufficient evidence to warrant filing a criminal complaint. >> the d.a. says the case is far from over and they can still file charges later and are doing a large spectrum of tests. >> man accused in carjacking spree will be in court. jeffrey boyce was expected in court yesterday but he was moved to a safety cell for his own protection. boyce is accused of kidnap asking carjacking a man in rohnert park and trying to

this is the drive along san mateo bridge and you can see coming out of hayward and into fosterty, traffic is moving smoothly out there and you get to the high-rise and you are in good shape westbound. the eastbound traffic is also moving well, with no construction out there but we have construction this is at the richmond and san rafael bridge with bridge painting lasting until 5:00 a.m. blocking a couple of lanes. westbound 580 as you come up from castro street to the toll, we also have one lane that gets you by for other bridge work that continues along the bridge and that will last until 6:00 a.m. along the coast, along highway one, we have one-way traffic control in affect until 7:00 a.m. and that is due to pavement work. kristen and eric? >> nestles is recalling frozen pizzas after plastic was discovered involving two pizzas under the california pizza kitchen label including grilled
