coming around this low pressure but doper today, that will rotate around and we look at a dry bay bridge right now with a chance of a scattered shower anywhere today. mid-60's to mid-70's inland and mid-60's to low 70's around the bay and near 60 degree temperatures at the coast. and a check of the commute from leyla gulen. >> it is dry. as the rain is starting to fall slow down the speed because that is where we get the spinouts. right now, here is a picture of our bay bridge toll plaza and traffic is moving well out here. we do not have spinouts and over to treasure island, into san francisco, not seeing a single problem. let's head into foster city toward redwood city where we do have a report of a stalled car that is blocking the foster city off-ramp along westbound highway 92 that is blocking one lane but it does not appear to be slowing things down. >> we expect to learn more from the c.h.p. this morning on a bizarre tragedy on the san mateo bridge.

five people including a new bride, were killed this weekend when the limousine caught fire. abc7 news reporter is in moss -- foster city with new details. >> we are hearing from the driver of the white stretch limousine this morning, and he describes the scene of chaos on the san mateo bridge saying the female passengers starting banging on the glass saying there was smoke but he misunderstood thinking they were asking if they could smoke cigarettes. moments later the limousine was fully engulfed. brown tells the "san francisco chronicle" this morning, i just wish i could have done more. it is something you never imagine will happen. >> the cell phone video shows the limousine on fire, fire women died, and four survived, and sky 7 was overhead. they were celebrating a recent

marriage, and a victims' co-workers cannot believe they is gone. >> always nice. always smiling. she just was here working on friday night and so hard on sunday morning. it was hard. both of them died. it is unbelievable. two co-workers. like sisters. >> the 31-year-old neriza fojas lost her life, she was recently married and was to celebrate her wedding in the philippines. she was going to a hotel in foster city to do that with her friends. she lost her life. c.h.p. will be investigating are investigating later this morning at 10:00 and we will leadership more details about what exactly caused the tragic accident.

that broke out at terrace apartments and started in several cars in the garage. two people were taken to the hospital for some inhalation. two are cause were burned but no unit was damaged. people were evacuated but being let in now. warrior fans are gearing up for the start of round two of the layoffs tone. officials have unveiled revised lands for proposed i rain -- arena in san francisco. abc7 news reporter is at embarcardero. >> there is a lot of news about the warriors and the players. they are in san antonio, getting ready to kickoff the second round of the playoffs tonight. they have the first game against the san antonio spurs with a streak they need to break, a losing streak. they have not won in san antonio in 16 years.

is to beat the spurs in san antonio tonight. reporting live in san francisco with abc7 news. >> two san francisco pg&e workers recovering from buns when a transformer failed. look at the home video of the explosion. >> that flashed as they were fixing the workers and severally damned the equipment and caused power failure yesterday afternoon in the bayview area. one employee suffers serious buns. 2,600 customers affected with all power restored in a few hours. >> a volunteer with benicia has been arrested following a string of arson fires over the weekend. the first fire break out at 10:30 on saturday night in cambridge and capital drive. half an hour later a second fire was discovered on reservoir road and two hours after that, a third fire broke out on bay

shore road. police say a volunteer firefighter was arrested early on sunday morning near the scene of an arson attempt open park road. police say they found evidence in his car leadership him to the fires. >> a church is looking for a new home after a fire tore through the space where it holds worship . these photos were sent of the damage. the congregation leases a spot at the hall in richmond but it is not clear how the fire started or where worship will be held next. >> a canoe trip ended in the deaths of two near los gatos. the canoe capsized in a reservoir along highway 17. two others made it to shore after it overturned. we see where the divers searched for the would who died and discovered a man's body and found the second victim a few hours later. it appears all the boaters were

from the same family. the sheriff deputies say no voters wore a life jacket. >> san jose police say they are pleased with how cinco de mayo celebrations went despite clearing the streets because of a few troublemakers. a fight broke out between two groups at 8:30 on santa clara street and bottles everyone tossed and people attacked each other with sticks. witnesses say the fight quickly escalated so police had extra officers on the pa trillion for the the -- on patrol for the event. no one was arrested. >> and there could be a sweep in the stanley cup playoffs after the sharks got the lead in vancouver and they return to san jose for game three. two of the three goals were scored in the third period and they have a 3-30 lead and can advance to the second round with another win.

covering daly city, dublin, los gatos and all the bay area, this is his abc7 news. >> a 17-year-old soccer player in utah could face new charges this morning after the referee he punched died. the 46-year-old portillo call add fire during a youth soccer game and the player hit portillo in the face when he wasn't looking. the father of three slipped into a coma and on saturday he died. the teen who hit him is in juvenile dedense and will be charged in the next few days. >> congresswoman gabrielle giffords is the recipient of the profile in courage award. she received the on yesterday at the john f. kennedy library in boston for her push to work with reforms to reduce gun violence. she was seriously wounded in a 2011 shooting when a lone gunman opened fire at an arizona shopping mall. she has become an advocate against gun violence. caroline kennedy presented the

award. >> cyber aattend are getting more sophisticated. now the bloomberg business report. >> good morning, private colleges offering record discounts on tuition and fees as they have weaker-than-expected enrollment and the average financial aid was 45 percent off the list price. a "wall street journal" says that the discounts could be bigger for the fall of 2013 with second tier schools facing weak enrollment because of rising tuition. cyber attacks inflicting heavy painen at banks with a company saying the webs were down a record 249 hours in six weeks in february and march under heavy cyber attack. and hackers in europe were able to withdraw $9 million from customer accounts in 46 cities in one attack. incidents like this are prompting warns about the risk to customer accounts.

santa clara valley and los gatos could be 73 and upper 60's to low 70's on the peninsula and where you see the greens that is where the computer models think a stray shower could be at 2:00, so you see how stray and small they are. low 60's along the coast today and mid-60's to upper 60's in downtown and south san francisco. all the way through the north bay, most of us in the mid-to-upper 60's and santa rosa and napa at 70 and 72, and the beaches are upper 50's and the east bay shoreline upper 60's, and east bay valley low-to-mid 70's. tonight, at at&t, the phillies are in town to take on the giants and 61 is the game time temperature and 57 with a scattered shower possible and it will be dry and cool. temperatures tonight are under clouds and the low to mid 50's

release additional details this morning on the limousine fire on the san mateo-hayward bridge that killed five people over the weekend. abc7 news reporter cornell bernard is near the bridge with that and more what the driver is saying this morning. >> this accident was intense and the driver of the white stretch limousine said the fire which killed five passengers began with confusion and a big misunderstanding on the san mateo-hayward bridge. orville brown says passengers started banging on the glass partition saying "smoke, smoke" but brown misunderstood thinking they were asking if they could smoke cigarettes. moments later the limo was on fire. he is telling the san francisco con cell -- con cell this were so many flames in 90 seconds. cell phone video shows how intense the fire was. four women survived.

loyola, the limousine owner says that the limo stop will "do everything possible to investigate and assist authorities in determining the cause of the fire in order to bring forth answers and provide closure to the victims and their families." they say the company deeply saddened by the tragedy. we will have developing updates throughout the morning and on our website at abc7 news cop -- abc7news.com. >> east palo alto police will reveal more of a shooting near a mcdonald's that left five people wounded. the victims include a six-year old girl and her grandmother. it happened close to 101 on university avenue at bay road. police say the shooter aimed at people waiting for the bus at the curb. four victims went inside the mcdonald's looking for him. officers discovered other victims outside and investigators say it appears some of the victims were target

ed. >> i don't believe that it is just a random thing because self of the victims appear to be gang members. i will not say which gang but several are gang members. >> police say all the victims are expected to survive. today, the chief will outline the department's efforts to step the surge of violence in the city. >> this were on, calaveras sheriff investigators are tightlipped about what they found at the bottom of two reservoirs located near the home of an 8-year-old murderville. kira klapper has more on what police are looking for in the investigation. >> investigators are scouring all the ways wounding leila fowler's home and where she was stabbed two saturdays ago. yesterday, divers from the calaveras county searched two 4' deep reservoirs near the family home and at the same time yesterday, investigators knocked on more than 300 front doors asking neighbors if they saw

nation suspicious around the time she was killed. the eight-year-old died when she was stabbed inside her family valley springs home in april. the community there has been hoping for an arrest since then. >> i have three girls, they used to play outside but now they don't since this. >> her 12-year-old step brother says he found her stabbed and described her killer as being stalled with long gray hair and a witness who saw a man run from the air has taken back the claim. investigators were studying knives that may have been used as a murder weapon but remaining tightlipped but did not say where they got the knives. >> it is 5:35. >> pg&e we will hear what city leaders thing the penalty should be for the 2010 san bruno explosion and fire and holding a news conference at 9:00 this

morning to announce their recommendation to the public utilities commission and will meet in front of pg&e shareholders in san francisco and according to the "wall street journal" they will push for $1.25 billion fine. officials say the figure matches the scale of the disaster and alleged missteps by pg&e that led to the explosion. pg&e says it has benefited up safety and improved cuts inform service. >> new law taking affect today will allow bart to ban violent or unruly passengers. bart will be allowed to keep offenders off of trains and out of stations for up to a year. among things to be banned, hindering the operation of a train, assaulting workers are on customers, lewd behavior, or celling drugs. until now, bart had to get county approval to ban someone and critics fear the law will be used to target protesters and the homeless. >> the developer of a new billion dollar constitutional for the warriors on the waterfront of san francisco will have a revised plan to satisfy

you can see as we move to inland central valley to the high country we have a mixture of rain and thunderstorms and snow and that is where the bulk of the moisture is falling right now. you can tell it is quiet when you look at the visibility, if it was raping anywhere the visibility would be a lot lower but it is unlimited in the horizontal plains. mainly just sprinkles in the morning and showers develop and will be pop-up and ran drop and very light and short-lived but they will keep our temperatures in the same ball park as we were yesterday which is mid-to-upper 60's by noon and 50's at the coast, and near 70 at 4:00, and back into the low-to-mid 60's by 7:00. tomorrow, another chance of a shower and then the low moves off to the east and sunshine breaks through the clouds and the warming trend begins by thursday. be careful out there. leyla gulen? >> thanks, mike, as we look at the san mateo-hayward bridge you

have the massive springs fire fully contained today. this morning, the 28,000 square acre fire is 75 percent contained. cooler temperatures and moist air this weekend helped firefighters get a handle on the flames and allow evacuated homeowners to return. to riverside county near banning, a 650-acre vegetation fire is 75 percent contained. temperatures in southern california have dropped 20 degrees in the last few days. >> in south africa the investigator who was at the center of the case against oscar pistorius is speaking out. as oscar pistorius prepares for his upcoming trial, the murder trial of the death of girlfriend, the former investigator says he is convinced oscar pistorius intentionally killed her. he was dismissed after being charged with attempted murder in a different action and spoke out against oscar pistorius in "vanity fair" in june. >> i said what happened, and
