this morning, new details from the rescue in cleveland. >> relieved family members ready to come home. the women after their long years' nightmare as they're getting ready to interrogate suspects. fresh questions whether police missed vital cues. mark sanford comes back from the brink four years after his affair turned him into a punch line. voters give him a chance. how high will stocks soar? the dancer shocker as it came down to the bachelor and football star. now only five couples remain.

and good morning. we begin with new details from that still unfolding story in cleveland. >> the suspects, three brother, are set to be questioned today by police. they may also formally be charged. the third victim, michele knight is going to be released from the hospital. the other two women are staying at a secret location under the watchful eye of police and coverage begins with abc's devin dwyer. >> reporter: this cleveland a growing celebration of three lives saved. flowers, balloons and banners welcoming the women home after a decade gone. >> i'm happy that these children were found alive. >> reporter: missing the longest michele knight seen here in her high school yearbook. her grandmother is still stunned. >> i didn't think we would ever see her again. >> reporter: the family of amanda berry who bravely called 911 in disbelief too meeting her 6-year-old daughter jocelyn. missing is amanda's mom who passed away in 2006. >> what hurts me the most is

mandy don't get to see her mom. her mom is gone. >> reporter: also found gina dejesus. police say today they will question and formally charge these three men, ariel, onil and pedro, ariel castro, the home's owner was a school bus driver, fired in 2012 for mistakes on the job. his friends are shocked by the news much one of those the uncle of one of the victims who has known castro for 20 years. >> doesn't seem the kind of person who would do something like this right under your nose. >> reporter: investigators are questioning how they could be hidden in plain sight and how they survived. >> they were able, maybe, to build up each other. maybe even working as a team to play against the abductors. >> reporter: officials say questioning is proceeding slowly out of sensitivity. john and diana. >> devin, the 911 operator who

took the call from amanda berry is now being criticized for actually hanging up at the end of a call as opposed to staying on the call until police arrived. what are police doing about it. >> reporter: one of the striking aspects when the operator told amanda berry to hang up. wait for officers. authorities now say they're investigating the operator's handling of that call and although the police are pointing out that officers were on the scene about two minutes after they took her call. diana and john. >> devin dwyer in washington, thank you. cleveland police are also being hit with claims that they missed clues over the years. >> one neighbor came forward to say a naked woman was seen crawling on her hands and knees in the backyard just a few years ago. another neighbor heard pounding on the home's doors. both times police did show up but they never went inside. >> we are learning more about amanda berry's daughter, born while her mother was in captivity. the little girl named jogs lynn was born on christmas day, now 6 years old. she's been smiling and eating

passengers. the plane was met at the charleston airport by police, fbi and homeland security. the passengers were removed from the flight and then it continued on to providence just after midnight. all right, now to the stunning political comeback of former south carolina republican governor mark sanford going back to congress after winning a special election for his old house seat. four years ago he was disgraced by trying to cover up an affair. he referenced the whole ordeal in his victory speech. >> i think we're always there too. >> in his remarks he also thanked his former mistress who is now his fiancee. on capitol hill today three state department employees are expected to speak out about security lapses in the attack on the u.s. consulate in benghazi. they're challenging the administration's official version of what happened last september. the hearings could return the spotlight to former secretary of state hillary clinton for her involvement in the crisis. there's a new defense strategy for aurora theater

shooting suspect james holmes. he wants to change his plea to not guilty by reason of insanity. if approved he will be sent for a psychiatric evaluation and which will delay the case. panel of judges divvied up the $1 million reward offered during the manhunt for christopher dorner. the couple who he tied up will get most of it, about 00,000 bucks. 9 the man who discovered his burning truck 150,000 and 50,000 goes to a tow truck driver who spotted him after the first shootings. delaware is now the 11th state to allow gay marriages. the governor signed a bill into law minutes after it gained final approval. the new law doesn't give same-sex couples any new rights than they already had. >> time for the weather across the nation, severe storms including possible tornadoes, hail and winds up to 70 miles an hour will roll across the middle

investors enjoying another record high on wall street. the dow closing above 15,000 tuesday for the first time ever gaining 87 points. abc's rebecca jarvis tells us what it means. >> reporter: the stampede on wall street reached a new milestone. the dow is now up a staggering 130% since hitting rock bottom in march 2009. in real terms, if you invested $10,000 during the worst of the great recession, today you'd have more than doubled your money to almost $23,000. the winning streak on wall street is now over four years long. that means this bull market run is about six months longer than normal. but it's still five years shorter than the best run ever. the question now, where do stocks go from here? well, i spoke with traders here at the new york stock exchange and they say they're using history as their guide. this is the strongest year since 1991 and back then, stocks rose an additional 10%.

rebecca jarvis, abc news, new york. and another bit of encouraging economic news now. more americans are making their mortgage payments on time. according to transunion, the percentage of home owners two or more months behind fell by 21% in the first quarter of this year, the biggest drop in two decades thanks to the surging housing market and steady job gains. all right. we may soon be able to read treasury secretary john lew's signature. used to look like this, a series of loops that didn't have any resemblance to his name. this is what it looks like now, a little ways to go but can see a lot of that signature that will be on every new dollar bill. >> i kind of liked the looped-loops. good to be al gore. the former vice president is now nearly as itches are mitt romney. grown his net worth to more than $00 million thanks to the sale

abc7 news starts right now with breaking news. >> we have breaking news from oakland. a fire has damage add well-known bakery. abc7 news reporter amy hollyfield is at the bakery to tell us more in east oakland. >> this is a place when people see it they recognize it. a very famous place in oakland. the good news, it is still standing. it has been here since 1952 on east 18th street. fire did the damage inside. firefighters got the call this morning and found fire inside on the first and second floors. they did get it out. it took 35 minutes. they say they saved the building. firefighters know what a beloved

place this is in oakland. >> it is an icon. we have had several incidents in the past and it has changed interview in 23 years as a firefighter. it is an icon. great place to eat. >> no one was hurt in the fire. all the firefighters are okay. they do not know the cause. the bakery has survived fires before. the chief knows a couple of times they have had to respond here. it has survived money problems, received help from the city to keep it going. you could call this place a survivor because it looks like it will make it through this fire with lots of water damage, smoke damage but the bakery is standing. >> thank you. >> a quick look at the weather.
