start and 49. we will hang out in the mid-to-upper 70's in the afternoon. in the evening we drop to the mid-60's. at the coast, we have clouds and 50, and breezy in the afternoon with mid-to-upper 50's and cloudy by 7:00 at 55. how about getting out the door? here is traffic with leyla gulen. >> in the east bay at the maze traffic is building. westbound along 80 toward 580, and approaching the toll plaza, the cash-paying lanes are building and no word if the metering lights are on but that is ahead. we are following a fatal accident involving caltrain southbound 102. both northbound and southbound trains have been shut down so you are not using caltrain to head out of san francisco to san bruno. if you need to head southbound you have to jump in the car and northbound traffic, use bart into the city.

>> we have breaking news, two fires, one is in redwood city, a three-alarm fire at an apartment building on oak side avenue and it is right across the street from fair oaks elementary school and could have injuries. we are headed to the scene and we will bring you more in a bit. there is a fire in the south bay where an overnight blaze broke out at lockheed martin headquarters. what are investigators saying, cornell? >> dangerous situation at lockheed martin now but new is under control. firefighters responded to a two-alarm blaze after 3:00 a.m. the fire department said this was an electrical fire centered to a workization area with a lot of smoke inside building 150 on the west side of the complex and

according to the sign in front it is where research is done on ballistic missile defense systems and airborne lasers. that prompted firefighters to approach the building with a lot of caution and they realized there was nothing dangerous or hazardous inside but mostly office space. this is a huge complex and lockheed martin is the largest aerospace contractors and 100 acres surrounded by a lot of barbed wire. we home to speak with someone from lockheed martin in an hour. >> we following developing news from san jose where police are investigating claims a street in front of a school could be a speeding hot speed after a six-year old was hit and killed by an s.u.v., and abc7 news reporter amy hollyfield is at the growing memorial. >> the community is letting the family know that it has support. look what they have left:

flowers, candles, and teddy bears this memory of the little girl. the six-year-old aileen quiroz was killed while walking him from school yesterday afternoon. she and her aunt and her 2-year-old sister were hit by a car on blue field drive. police have not said if the driver was speeding but neighbors say speeding is a problem. >> people are driving 50 miles per hour down this street and blowing out by, not paying attention, especially around 3:00 or 3:30 in the afternoon when the kids are leaving the school. >> police say the driver did stop and was questioned and is being cooperative. officers do not think drugs are alcohol were a factor but trying to figure whether to file charges. the aunt is in icu and the family said she suffered from broken ribs and a collapsed lung.

the family says that the 2-year-old girl is expected to be okay. >> happening today, the search resumes in lake county for nine-year-old mikaela lynch who went missing over the week. police say surveillance video shows mikaela lynch running up the street after she was last seen at the family vacation home. authorities say the video eliminates the possibility she went across the street and into the water. neighbors are being asked to check their surroundings for any sign of mikaela lynch who cannot swim. >> details on a deadly house fire in the south bay which has been breaking news since yesterday at 4:00. this is the scene in san jose, our media partner, now identified the victim as 52-year-old jimmy gordon and the death is called accidental. a firefighter was injured but he is expected to be okay.

>> in oakland, two people are without a home this morning after a house fire broke out on 95th avenue and a street at around 8:30. investigators believe it started in a bedroom accidentally. no one was seriously hurt but neighbors helped a 64-year-old man to safety as he had trouble getting out on his own. the red cross is helping with temporary housing. new details on joel -- angelina jolie's decision to under go a mastectomy. the supreme court is dealing with a decision on the gene test she has broken which revealed she had the gene that is tied to increase risk of cancer and a patented by a company but credit is say it leaves the company as the soul source of determining whether women are at risk of getting cancer. the supreme court heard doctors whether to invalidate the patent last month, a decision is

expected in june. >> new developments in the growing i.r.s. controversy, the f.b.i. now is part of the investigation into whether the i.r.s. singled out tea party groups seeking tax-exempt status. a new report says i.r.s. agents targeted tea party groups and the finding suggests that agent would delay applicants with questions asking for more information and keeping them in limbo for 18 months. the president responds and said the findings are intolerable and inexcusable, and the federal government must conduct itself in a way worthy of the public's trust especially for the i.r.s. he said if the accusations are true, he will hold the i.r.s. accountable. a house committee will meet on friday to try to figure out if the white house is connected. katie marzullo will have more next half hour. >> in the bay area, people who live in antioch could decide whether to approve a new half

cent sales tax. the "contra costa times" reports that the city council wants to place a measure on the november's ballot asking to approve the new tax for 10 years. the money will be used to boost the police department and code endorsement. a survey in antioch shows 68 percent of voters support the half cent sales tax increase. >> from redwood city, a fire at an apartment building is generating a lot of smoke. look at the fire response, flashing fire engine lights, all average the perimeter of the fire but the good news is the smoke is turning to white smoke. >> this is an area that is very populated with an elementary school across the street and the pocket of redwood city between 101 and el camino and it will have a huge impact for

his deputies this response to the boston marathon bombings. cnn reports that 14 boston deputy fire chiefs have signed a letter saying they have no confid in fire chief and his handling of the attacks last month. the boston globe reports deputies feel he did not take enough action on the day of the blast and failed to show leadership. they say he continues to avoid onscene responsibility to shield himself from accountability. he tells the globe he acted on the boston marathon bombings. >> man posted this on youtube that was uploaded hours before he was killed on the oregon coast during a walk to brazil. he was documenting a mission planned to walk and dribble a soccer ball from seattle to brazil for the world cup tournament. he was only a few weeks into the journey to help the one world football project, a

thursday morning at 3:00. a beautiful picture from mount tamalpais this morning, here are the weather headlights, mostly sunny and breezy and wet weather is possible tomorrow and a warming trend for saturday, sunday, and monday. today's temperatures are 70 at milpitas and 73 in san jose, and upper 70's around morgan hill and gilroy, on the peninsula mid-to-upper 50's. mid-60's in sausalito. 65 in hayward at the cool spot and castro valley and fremont at 69 and the east bay valley we have mid-70's in the san ramon valley and throughout livermore and highway 4, pittsburg and antioch and brentwood, throw mid-80's. tonight the temperatures are in the 50's and the rain shield is moving in to the north bay if tomorrow's commute. two things the front does, cooler air is behind it and you can see moisture wrapping into

miles around. leyla gulen will tell us more on that in a couple of minutes. >> right now we will talk about the winds with mike nicco. >> in redwood city it is quiet. it could be five or eight miles per hour. headed up the peninsula, it will become faster and i don't think they are a big deterrent in putting the fire out. but if it was oakland or concord or sfo where we have gusts up to 13 to 32 miles per hour that would be an issue but the winds are not showing that the cooler weather is on the way. the next 12 hours, cooler start at 51. in the mid to upper 60's from noon to afternoon as the low clouds transition to high clouds. inland next 12 hours, we have 49 and thin clouds and low-to-mid 70's from noon to 4:00 with increasing high clouds and a mix of low and high clouds. today it will become breezy and

mid-to-upper 50's. how is the traffic? >> we have several major incidents around the bay area. right now this is the bay bridge toll plaza and not looking too terribly busy but we have metering lights on. further back we have an incident involving a motorcycle along westbound 580 making a transition to westbound 80 and it looks like it skid and was pinned under a car and now blocking two lanes with a mile backup and the top speed is only 25 miles per hour. in san jose, we have this accident starting to clear morning 101 but right now we have six miles of delays in the northbound direction. finally, an update on the caltrain situation we arrest the san bruno station with an early fatality with caltrain at the san bruno station. kristen and eric? >> we continue to follow breaking news from sunnyvale

where a fire broke out overnight at the headquarters of lockheed martin space systems, the facility is located at moffett field. cornell? >> the dangerous situation at lockheed martin is under control. that is where firefighters responded to a two-alarm blaze in this building after 3:00 a.m. the fire is now out and sunnyvale fire department says this was an electrical fire centered to a work space area inside building 150 on the west side of the complex. according to the sign in front it is where research is done on ballistic missile defense systems and airborne lasers. that prompted firefighters to approach with a lot of caution. >> there are certain buildings that carry hazardous material we would have a greater risk working but this was a building

that was office space so we did not have the concerns. >> the f.b.i.s quickly realized there was nothing hazardous or dangerous inside mostly office space. lockheed martin is one of the largest defense and aerospace directors and the complex is huge, 100 acres. it is high security, surrounded by a lot of barbed wire on all sides and a lot of guards, as well. we hope to speak to someone from lockheed martin in the hour. >> cornell, thank you. the 12-year-old boy charged in the stabbing death his younger sister will appear in court today. the brother of eight-year-old leila fowler was charged yesterday with second-degree murder and a spell allegation -- special allegation of use of a dangerous weapon. attorneys want him released based on his cooperation with investigators. yesterday, officials released the step mother's 9-1-1 call

made after her son said he scared off an intruder. we posted that call online at abc7news.com. >> the search resumes at 7:00 for a missing autistic girl who vanished from her family's vacation home. there is new evidence in the disappearance of mikaela lynch with video from a neighbor showing the nine-year-old running up the street after last seen on sunday. authorities believe the video eliminates the possibility mikaela lynch went in the water. neighbors are asked to double check their surroundings. >> i looked under high deck and that is the only play and of course my woodpile in the back. >> pretend she is playing hide and go seek and look at every possible spot she could be in. >> police say mikaela lynch cannot speak and has the mental capacity of a one-year-old. she lives in san francisco and tended sunset elementary school. >> new detail on the growing controversy involving the i.r.s. and conservative groups.

todaystory general hold -- today, attorney general holder will face tough questions on capitol hill. abc7 news reporter katie marzullo has more. >> attorney general holder will face a house of representatives judiciary committee and will be grilled about the i.r.s. targeting conservative groups for extra tax scrutiny. the f.b.i. has been called in to investigate the i.r.s. and federal agents will internet internal revenue service employees this california, cincinnati, and washington, dc. the big question, did they engauge in past dan politics while on duty? did they violate the civil rights of tea party and conservative group members by singling out their applications for tax-exempt status for extra review? of note, the maximum penalty if violating the civil rights statute is 10 years in prison. >> the f.b.i. is coordinating to see if laws are broken. if not criminal they were
