the three-year-old girl was also stabbed and is in the hospital. ama dates is there with new information about the manhunt. ama? >> reporter: carolyn, yes, the person of interest authorities was looking for has been detained. you can see the house where it happened is still lit up. we are told that multiple generations of the family lived in the house, and they believe the victims were the grandmother and her two grandkids who she was baby-sitting. a 48-year-old woman is dead, a 1-year-old boy is dead and a three-year-old girl was taken to the hospital with multiple stab wounds and we are told she is in stable condition. it happened around 3:30. you can look at the video we shot from sky 7hd. a family member came home and saw what happened. immediately called police. police from san jose, santa clara and even sunnyvale came and assisted the santa clara county sheriff's office as they did a door-to-door search for rueben ramirez, another family who also lives inside

that home. he was finally located in san francisco and detained shortly after thine:00. after 9:00. >> our detectives reached out to the san francisco police department and he is now being de -- detained by those agencies and we are there talking to him now. >> reporter: they are calling him a person of interest, although they say he could be the suspect. they are not officially calling him a suspect at this point. again that is all we know at this point. we don't have the names of the victims, but the three-year-old girl in the hospital in stable condition. so far most families have been let back in those homes, but it will be blocked off for more time tonight. investigators are finishing up at the house and the coroner still has to come and remove the two bodies. that is the latest at the scene, but our reporting continues right now on twitter. just follow us at abc7 news bay area. live in san jose, ama dates, abc7 news. >> we will update you there

up against the wall. >> it lead them to arrest this man on tuesday. the 62-year-old is in jail now. he would put out a daily shopping list to a network of thieves from san francisco to walnut creek and alamo. they would shoplift these item by item from dozens of stores. goods stolen from cvs, target, safe way and walgreens stores. thai would pay cash and then resell them to a mission district flea market and stores. >> we believe they are going to smaller mom and pop-type stores. these items are being sold from 20 to 40 cents on the dollar. >> police called in executives for the victimized stores and they scanned the goods and figured out all of this is worth $300,000 to $400,000 retail. it is crimes like these that drive up consumer prices. police are investigating the possibility of more arrests. they say inventory of

thousands of items is a real headache. leslie brinkley, abc7 news. breaking news, it has been a deadly night in north texas after two tornadoes touched down. you can see some of the damage southwest the death toll has just gone up with at least six people dead and more than 100 injured. crews are going house to house right now looking for victims. this is video of the tornadoes actually touching down there in north texas earlier tonight. developing news as a wildfire is burning south of bakersfield. it has now spread to 3,000 acres. wind gusts is making it hard for firefighters to get a ham on it. a handle on it. it is 10% contained. 800 firefighters are on the ground and seven air tankers and four choppers are hitting it from the sky. no one has been hurt and no buildings are in danger here. and developing news in vallejo tonight. two children under the age of 13 were shot by some other kids on arkansas street. abc7 news reporter alan wang is live vallejo police vallejo e headquarters with more on

this. alan? >> dan, police say the kids all know each other because they live in the same neighborhood. the suspects are between the ages of 14 and 16 and the victims are between 11 and 13. police say the older boys approached the four younger ones in an alley around 7:00 tonight. one of the teens pulled out a 38 caliber revolver and revolved at the kids from 20 feet away. he struck one in the shoulder and another in the foot and then fired at the other two as they ran down the alley. >> when you have 15, 16-year-olds shooting kids that are 11 to 13 years old that is ridiculous. >> what does that say to you? >> it says to me that the city is off the hook and something needs to be done to try and control this stuff. >> witnesses helped police track down the suspects in the neighborhood, and just a few hours ago police say they found a gun along a path. alan wang reporting live at police headquarters in

say dairy free and vegan on the front, but in small print on the back it also says the candy is made in a facility that produces products containing dairy. she saw the notice, but relied on the dairy free label on the front. >> we should take anything on the label, especially on the front of the label, with a grain of salt. >> this consumer add advocate says parents should not rely on labels to protect kids, ease early andly if a -- especially if a few molecules of a nut will threaten their lives. they did write to the candy maker saying the labeling was irresponsible. the company replied that she should have heeded the allergen warning on the back. >> questioning my abilities as a mother. >> she found out the candy bars were recalled in canada because they may contain] milk which not declared on the label. she contacted the u.s. food and drug administration which opened an investigation. she also contacted 7 on your side.

>> i that i could hel to relay the message and this is a serious issue. wree guy we con tabted the fda and they stled is no regulation regarding dairy free. it requires a list of allergens like peanuts and milk if they are part of the recipe. but there is nothing to warn you about possible contamination of shared equipment. that is done voluntarily. labels must be truthful and dairy free should mean zero dairy. no one has tested the candy bars to check for traces of milk. they did not respond to our request after the investigation voluntarily withdrew the candy bars with the dairy free label and issued this notice saying people with severe sensitivity or allergies to milk may run the risk of a serious or life-threatening allergic reaction i consume these products. although the company did not use the term "recall" the

candy bars were removed from the store shelves and those who purchased the products could return them for a full refund. the company is expected to bring back the candy with new labels. it is a lesson hard learned for her and tyler. >> i am definitely more dill -- diligent and cautious of what i give him and the labels he reads. >> new regulations requires federal health officials to study what happens when food makers share their equipment. the goal is to find out if the food is likely to be contaminated with dangerous allergens like nuts or milk, and if it puts more consumers in danger. i will keep track of that and report back as information is available. >> that's not something you would see on the label. >> no. >> thank you, michael. nobody won the $360 million powerball jackpot. nearly 2.7 million people did win something. here is a look at the numbers 2, 11, 26, 34, 41 and the powerball number is 32. six people in california won a
